Heavenly Beat, the solo project of former Beach Fossils member John Peña, recently released his fourth studio album, John, which can be streamed and purchased from Bandcamp, here. John features a diaphanous bedroom pop aria named Demon, whose lo-fi dreaminess and shuffling beat are irresistibly spellbinding. Demon builds steadily towards brassy nostalgic lushness. We soon find ourselves enveloped by a thick, hazy warmth that calms the very demons of our own hearts and allays the pangs of regret from romances past. John can also be streamed via Spotify, here.
