Hi John! I hope you and Sherlock are both well.
I’d love to know what the most romantic thing you’ve both done for each other is :)
"Romantic?" You’ve got the wrong account, I think :). If you’re looking for candlelit dinners and rose petals, you’re looking for a different pair of blokes, dear anon. Sherlock ( @artofdeductionbysholmes ) considers a "grand gesture" to be not leaving a severed head in the fridge for more than twenty-four hours. Honestly, that’s about as thoughtful as he gets on a Thursday.
But, if I’m being… well, if I’m being honest (and please don't tell him I said this, he’s insufferable enough as it is):
From him: It wasn't a gift or anything. It was probably the time he spent weeks teaching me how to recognize different types of digital encryption just so I wouldn't get my bank account hacked again. He acted like he was annoyed I was "slow," but he didn't leave the table until I had it down. That, or the times he actually makes me a cup of tea without me asking.
From me: Keeping him alive? Putting up with his experiments and schemes to take my daughter along on cases? Taking the bins out? Take your pick.
Actually, I once tracked down a specific brand of Moroccan tea he liked from a case we did three or four years ago. I didn't say anything, just put it in the cupboard. He knew immediately, of course. He didn't say "thank you". No. He just drank the whole box in two days :).
That’s us, really. It’s not exactly The Notebook, is it?
Anyway, I’ve got to go. There’s a strange smell coming from the kitchen and I’m 89% sure it’s an experiment, not breakfast.
Thanks for the question!
