i just read that when johnny and julian were developing merlin they had a meeting with russell t davies, and they said that the meeting was really influential on the direction they went in with the show
suddenly everything makes so much sense
The TV show was a different take – it was a Merlin and Arthur who were contemporaries, and that was different. You had a fascinating, funny, complicated relationship, and that would have to have been the heart of our movie.

Favourite Cast Photo
For me it’s not just photo. It’s photos. I love every single photo from what I’m assuming is a wrap party because most of the cast is there and johnny and julien.
And lastly this beauty.
There’s so many more floating around the internet but these are some of my favourites.

I'm rewatching Merlin because I haven't watched it since I was a kid and your blog made me remember how awesome it is, and all through it Merlin keeps saying how the ONLY thing he wants is for Arthur to accept him as he is. Whenever Arthur says "you can't hide anything from me" Merlin always looks sad and goes "wouldn't dream of it". I will forever be confused as to whether he's talking about his magic or his gay
Oh yeah, I have sleepless nights about these questions! Sometimes I ask myself, did the directors of Merlin watch the show together? Did they saw scenes like this one and then…
