man ok so one of my little oneshot fics when i’m feeling silly is gonna be a coffeeshop AU except q just manipulates reality to make jean-luc a barista and he doesn’t know what’s happening or even how to make coffee (he asks the coffee machine like five times until the customer is like, you have to… push the button…). and he’s just starting to get the hang of it when who should walk in but q and picard starts to go off on him but q is like really do you want to have this discussion in public so picard drags him into a back room and demands he put him back on the enterprise and q is like ‘they’re doing fine without you don’t worry’ and somehow they end up making out thank u for listening
