Scarface's The Untouchable Album Anniversary

 Scarface continued to funnel his efforts into additional solo efforts: The Diary came on October 18, 1994, reaching the heights of #2 on both the USA 'R&B/Hip-Hop' chart and the 'Billboard 200' chart. The album has since been certified platinum. Scarface then dropped Untouchable on March 11, 1997 which again improved on his last chart postions with #1 spots on both the Billboard 200 and the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, aswell as eventually been certified as Platinum.

   Fresh off his chart-topping platinum LP Untouchable, Scarface returned to the table with yet another ghetto classic with the double disk set: My Homies. The album was a star-studded LP, bloated with guests, that pairs the godfather of hard-core reality rap with some of the hottest, most talented lyricists in the rap game. "I got everybody that I wanted to work with on this album, except Jimi Hendrix," muses Scarface. "Everybody that's hot on the streets right now, I got 'em on this album- Tupac, Master P, Tela, Too Short, and Yukmouth from the Luniz. Your walk, your talk, your looks, everything together is the deadly combination of everyone’s manifested dreams about that one person they so desperately want but can’t  and will never have. Everything about you invites them to you but the thing is, you would never let them in. Your image must remain squeaky clean and pristine. It’s part of your allure, to make people believe that your purity is exactly what drives them wild for you. It’d be nice if someone actually made the effort to get to know you yet it seems unlikely. The Casanova → All their attention is flattering but also annoying. You are sure that in their eyes, you are simply another prize to be won, someone ready to be conquered. At first you couldn’t ignore that there was something that attracted you to them. Some energy or vibe that made you think that perhaps it would be worth it to at least entertain the idea of giving them a chance. But people talk, families spread rumors, campus is big, but never enough to miss the chatter that runs through the halls. They always get what they want so you’ll be the exception. Is it a challenge or are you really not interested? Well, it doesn’t matter. They can just get in line to keep waiting for something that is never going to happen. You have decided and there is absolutely nothing that can make you change your mind.

The Firebrand → You can’t lie when people ask if you actually enjoy teasing people to death or using those lips to enchant people into doing what you want them to do. Of course you do. There is so much power for you to manage and sometimes you don’t even know what to do with it. So you use it on people. Mostly entertainment, also amusement. It is baffling to you sometimes how people will do whatever you ask just by planting the idea of you actually giving them some of your time. So what is it with this person that they do not give into your antics? Deep inside it bothers you. Perhaps you’re a little too used to feeling so above everyone. You’re sure there’s some way to change their mind without bending your own will too much.
