theres something really special to me abt the johto quartet but i dont really know how to put it into words so heres this quick doodle i whipped up

like, i just think this is neat!

theyve all got that special angled, spiky part of their hairstyle first of all, second of all red is a major part of their designs.

its really interesting to me because, (at least off of the top of my head) i cant think of any other protag+rival group with this kind of design consistency, except maybe the sinnoh trio and their scarves? ESPECIALLY across generations!

in conclusion: do not separate them

kris and lyra open canned foods by using an automatic can opener. ethan opens canned foods by using a manual can opener because he can't figure out how to use the automatic one. silver's too prideful to admit he doesn't know how to use an automatic OR a manual and instead opens canned foods with a pocketknife
