For that picture we pinned on the wall before we left, the mahogany table and my Beartic Rug—
I had fun, did you? You had some, me too.
I met girls like you; were they good? No just new
All the pictures I have — you look great, I look bad
It's okay, things just c h a n g e
Some things in life were just parallels.
We see scenes that seem to have been experienced before – people who don't look familiar, but feel familiar. A place, a smell; perhaps even a touch. It was in the way your footsteps sounded outside the door at 3am hovering and contemplating on whether whatever was on your mind was important enough to wake them up for – you, sniveling and trying your best to hold back tears as a goddamned twenty-year old man while he lay awake evening his breath (pretending to be asleep and nonchalant), wondering if you'd open the door.
We're not children anymore— that's what you tell yourself while his grey hues study the lighted shadows on the ceiling of your shared apartment instead of paying attention to the lingering shadow of your frame outside his room— thinking;
You can keep me up all night.
And at times things would move faster than we had anticipated. Man in its eternally fallible state would return to dust and decay, and thoughts of you eventually become memories and memoirs that don't outlast the eve of our existence. Some people and religions believe in a second chance – reincarnation; what-have-you.
Rest in peace, old friend.
The Champion I could never be;
For showing true strength and camaraderie
Can I speak with you?
Can we meet real soon?
Are you down here too?
Did you save me your shoes?

Before long, a new cycle begins; a child born to a mother – forgotten, cherished, adored, abandoned. We give in to the lottery of our fates, while he held on to the chance of a (redo). I wasn't a good-enough friend; I wasn't there enough. For every time I had shut you out instead of letting you in, I got a little less of you; a compromised version of you, entirely.
Dear Diary — I was sure I saw you that day.
Brown hair, messy hair. The same wam eyes. Only one person I ever knew (even if I searched the whole world through) would feel like that. Like home. I know it's you—
We look good as two, said we would, guess you knew
You still meet with you there – Buy you clothes change my hair
All the pictures you see
Maybe keep one with me
It's okay, we just change
[A high school karate club AU with guest stars Red and Green! Silver’s such a girl in this and I don’t even know what I’m writing anymore.]
"Arceus, you should do it like this! That stance will get you knock flat on your ass faster than you can blink!" Narrowed amethyst eyes.
"Shut up! My strikes will make up for it! You know that I’m the fastest one here!” Pools of charcoal black glared back defiantly.
A sigh. “But what if - and I’m being nice by using if - by some chance your opponent managed to break through your defenses before then? What would you do?”
Clenched teeth. “And I’m saying those chances are freaking impossible! Not once have I lost in my matches, unlike some people.”
"You’re not unbeatable! No one is!" The words were followed by a deep scowl.
"Really? It looks like that so far."
Twin growls of frustration interrupted what was supposed to be a quiet karate training session. And it had been too, until Morty pointed out the rather gaping hole in Silver’s stance and tried to correct it. Knowing the redhead’s volatile personality, he didn’t exactly took the advice gracefully. Instead, the two now bickered like children - that can seriously dish out some hurt - for the past ten minutes now.
With a deep sigh, Red redirected his crimson eyes to Green, who was practicing several moves on his own while astutely ignoring the screaming coming from the center of the dojo.
"I don’t get it dude. Why do they have to fight all the time?" Aside from the current argument, Morty and Silver were always at each other’s throats whether they were practicing or outside school hours. Thankfully, they still had the common sense to act professional during a tournament lest the pair would be disqualified each and every time.
Green did a few high kicks before he answered, “For the same reason you used to pull Leaf’s hair back in third grade. Personally, I think Silver just missed out on that whole phase given his solitary way of life before he joined this club and he’s making up for it now.”
"But still, i- you think Silver likes Morty? No way in hell!"
The brunette shrugged. “Hey, I call ‘em as I see ‘em.”
"Come on! I think you got some screw loose or something. There’s just no freaking way."
"Denial is always one of your traits. And you call Silver graceless."
"He has girls fawning over him left and right cuz they like his troubled but cute persona he’s sporting!"
A snicker. “You’re gonna get your ass handed to you if he finds out you called him cute. Your funeral Red.”
"You know what I mean!" The raven scowled, making another glance as the word fight degenerated to an all out fist brawl. "I still don’t believe it man. Not when they’re fighting like that."
A grin suddenly blossomed on Green’s face as he chopped another imaginary opponent. “Care to place a friendly wager on that?”
"With who yen?"
"How about the loser buys lunch for three weeks?"
"You’re on. Hope you’ll enjoy it when I’m enjoying food under your expanse."
Green leaned closer to Red and began to whisper conspiratorially. “Ok, here’s what we’ll do…”
—
"Hey Morty, mind being my sparring partner? I wanna try out a couple of new moves for the tournament next week."
The blonde was now sitting outside, taking a breather and definitely not pouting after his fight with Silver. Really, why couldn’t the redhead accept an honest advice? In truth, the blonde cared for the teen’s safety and as such, he’d do anything to help improve his defense. But he should have known better. Somehow, and Morty didn’t even know why, Silver managed to get under his skin with a single look.
"Sure Red, if you want." Bruised peppered his skin from the scuffle earlier but he was still functional. He followed the raven into the dojo, not noticing the source of his earlier ire and Green already there until it was too late.
"Oh? You came back for another lesson?" Silver sneered the moment his eyes met Morty’s. A scowl immediately disfigured his visage.
"No. Some people still need to practice since they know they’re still human, oh mighty one." A mock bow followed shortly.
"So, yeah…I’m just gonna talk with Green for a moment. Be right back." Not being dumb or suicidal, Red hurried to get out of the line of fire, following the other teen just behind Morty. Green gave him a wink and Red thought that maybe just not being between them wasn’t enough. Is the plan going to work at all?
Unfortunately, Red had no chance to escape as Green twisted his foot slightly and the ground buckled under the blonde, sending him flying into Silver. They landed in a tangle of limbs but when the dust cleared, Morty was straddling Silver on his hands and knees with barely a brush of air between their bodies. Red instantly blossomed on the blonde’s face while Silver’s pale complexion had a tint of rose on his cheeks. Neither male made any effort to get up.
”Silver?” Morty’s voice was soft, questioning. A hush had fallen over the dojo, the two bystanders scared to make a move lest they disturbed…whatever was going on.
Silver’s midnight eyes darted around Morty’s face, settling on his lips as he unconsciously licked his own, his chest pressing against the blonde’s with every breath. Overwhelmed with an unfamiliar sensation that was uncharacteristic of him, his eyes fluttered closed, only to widen a moment later when soft lips pressed against his. With a small, happy sigh, Silver threw his arms around Morty’s body, drawing him closer as they collapsed on the floor.
Red’s mouth hung opened, but Green helpfully placed an arm around him and led the raven from the room to give the pair some privacy.
"But-what-how!?"
"Red my man, let me tell you about something called ‘unresolved sexual tension…"
I almost always wear yoga pants, BECAUSE THEY'RE COMFY AND EASY TO WEAR

I'm picky with what movies I watch, I don't like watching most comedies (they're lacking and are all the same) and I prefer watching animated movies...and even then I'm still picky ._.
