why are we so anxious ?? wish we knew lmao
We’re going live today at 12PM!
On July 14, 2012 I met Alex Wiese. He played his bands cover of the Script's "Breakeven" for me and proceeded to tell me that if I bought his bands EP it would be the prettiest I've ever seen. He was right. What I didn't know at that time was that band would come to mean so much to me.
From when the band was Landen, Alex and Steve to now with Landen, Alex, Josh, Jake and Brooks, it's been a fun ride and I've loved seeing them grow.
Tomorrow, I travel to Iowa City with some of the best people to see Jocelyn play for the final time.
It's going to be sad to see the band go, but I'm excited for the guys' futures and look forward to whatever they accomplish in the future, musically or not.
The great remain forever in our lives. Circles never end.
Jocelyn is one of the most fantastic group of guys that I have ever listened to. They may not be known world wide, but when I met Alex outside a Mayday Parade concert two years ago, I knew they were going to do great things. I very distinctly remember apologizing and saying I was a bad person and him giving me a very confused look and telling me that I wasn't. I am sad that Jocelyn is coming to an end, but y'all were great and each of you will do magical things.
I’ve been in this really bad slump lately. Things have been piling up, people have let me down, the amount of self-hatred I have just seems to rise, and my depression and anxiety is getting worse. Every time I get really really low, music seems to give me a reason to stay a little while longer. In this case, it’s a new tour. I cannot express how excited I am for the Pup Fresh Tour. Late Nite Reading and Jocelyn have had a TREMENDOUS impact on my life and I cannot stress enough that I would not be here without them. I’ve never met better people. And now my two saviors are coming together to play music. There’s no way I’m not going to be there at least one night. Nobody and nothing is going to stop me. They give me hope for a new day. Music can save a persons life and I am living proof.
