She had survived the shocks, forced herself through any of his games and initiations and yet she was still ALONE. He hadn’t invited her to be a part of his life, he hadn’t lived up to those promises he had made to her during their sessions. A part of her wondered if it had all been FALSE and yet she couldn’t believe that. She couldn’t force herself to believe that none of those moments together had been real. That his words had been just a game. No, she refused to believe that and following him to his club was just her new attempt of making HIM realize that.
Harleen pushed her way passed a few of his men, remembering them from the outbreak at Arkham. Some of them tried to stop her but she refused to listen, barging through until she could see HIM. “Did you really think y’ could just LEAVE me an’ pretend that I don’t exist? I don’t want that an’ YOU don’t want it either. Ya just need t’ remember what we can have together.” Two of his men grabbed her arms, holding her in place while they waited for his instructions. “Even if y’ kick me out now, I’m not gonna go away. I’ll come right back, I’ll always come back. I told ya before, I can take anything an’ everything. I am not gonna give up on ya, so y’ might as well accept me.”
