had jack's plan failed and it took him and the doctor a lot longer to escape, what do you think would have happened with yaz? Would she continue in the tardis making post its? Would she eventually have managed to find the doctor herself?
Lets say 2 hypothetical situations: 1) the doctor arrives 5 years later 2) the doctor arrives 15 years later 👀👀👀
Sorry, this took longer to answer!
I read a comment a while back defending the fam's reaction to Thirteen returning after 10 months. It would make sense that they (I say 'they' but I mean more Yaz and Ryan, Graham is old enough to let this roll off his back) be hurt.
Ten months is enough of a time to feel the sting at this point. It shouldn’t be a surprise that Yaz was Going Through It.

I feel to answer this question we have to look past a Companion that had to deal with the same thing: Sarah Jane Smith. She might not be the first Companion Left Behind that's top of mind (this would be Amy Pond).
Sarah left the TARDIS because the Doctor had to answer a summons from Gallifrey. Sarah thought she would still see the Doctor again but years and years would pass before they saw each other again.
If Thirteen stumbled back five years later, Yaz would still be angry. I think she would be on the way to processing and accept that she might never know what happened to the Doctor.
At that point, Yaz would have moved into the Other TARDIS for good. She might also learn the bare minimum how to use the TARDIS console for things like the rooms, and alien alerts, but not how to fly a TARDIS.
Now, if it took Thirteen 15 years... Yaz would go full Sarah Jane. Bittersweet at all the lost time but also knowing her time has passed traveling with the Doctor. She would have had a life at that point, and her adventures separate from the Doctor.
And Yaz might say something similar to what Sarah tells the Tenth Doctor: “You were my life. You know what the most difficult thing was? Coping with what happens next, or with what doesn’t happen next. You took me to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, you showed me supernovas, intergalactic battles, and then you just dropped me back on Earth. How could anything compare to that?“
Yaz said something similar to Jack about the Doctor, and how it felt like to Yaz, it would have been better not knowing.
Honestly, if the TARDIS hiccuped and took the Doctor and Jack 15 years later, my sincere wish is that Yaz would have gone on with her life. Fifteen years is too long a time for a Human to pine for someone. There's a wider world of wonders that I hope Yaz should rediscover, just like what Ryan and Graham are doing.
