Good morning 🇹🇿🇬🇧🌏#Cupoftea☕️Jonah’s Disobedience 1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” 3 But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. 4 But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up. 5 Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep. 6 So the captain came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.” 7 And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. 8 Then they said to him, “Please tell us! For whose cause is this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?” 9 So he said to them, “I am a Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land. ” 10 Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11 Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm for us?”—for the sea was growing more tempestuous. 12 And he said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea; then the sea will become calm..#Jonah1:1-17#newchapte#PraisetheLord#WordofGod#wordoftheday#versesoftheday#bibleverses#biblestudy#qoutesoftheday#prayernetwork#beblessedShalom#anzanamiBwanaYesu#biblia#NenolaMungu#Nenolaleo#Yona#barikiwa🙏 #eastafrica#tanzania🇹🇿 #asubuhinjema#chai#Coventry🇬🇧#lifestyleblogger#vlogger #mswahili🇹🇿#rachelsiwa🙏🏽❤️☕️ https://www.instagram.com/p/CBnMSO4nK49/?igshid=qvb8bub4x7ff
Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17 #coptorthodox #jonah1 #jonah1v17 #bible #bibleverse
The world outside was dreary and gray as Kendall stepped off of his porch and unlocked his car, watching the headlights flash against the garage door. He was on his way to the record store in the hopes of finding a replacement for the Johnny Cash vinyl he had found broken almost clean in half on his bedroom floor earlier that morning. He wasn't sure of how it happened, but he was, to say the least, irritated. That record was one of his favorites, and he wasn't sure how he would survive late nights spent awake, studying, without listening to There You Go or Ring of Fire.
With a heavy sigh, he slid into the seat of his car and backed out of the driveway. When he eventually reached the record store, drops of rain had started to pelt his windshield. It wasn't unusual weather for January, but he hadn't brought an umbrella and wasn't in the mood to get drenched. He quickly pulled the key from the ignition and ran across the street to the store, pulling open the doors and stepping inside the dusty shop.
Kendall was a frequent shopper at the record store and was on a first-name basis with most of the employees, but after he brushed the stray raindrops from his jacket and glanced around the place, he was caught off guard by a familiar face. Jonah. Not only was she walking around the shop --his shop--, but she was looking rather... official. Has she always worked here or am I really just now noticing this? He wondered. Shrugging, he brushed past a display of records and found himself standing behind her, waiting for her attention and figuring there was no point in trying to avoid her.
"You know," he prompted, his voice scratchier than he anticipated. "I always thought you worked at, like, a frozen yogurt shop or some shit like that."
The life of a girl had hang in the balance, and ETA had sent a few specific people to complete this mission. Of course, there were the thoughts of why Jonah had been used for a particular mission. There were also the thoughts of why he had been chosen to be with others, who were at least, ten times better at their particular skill, than he was at his. He is just a pitcher, afterall.
Removing the market out of his pocket, he knew that there was only one spot in the entire forest of which was completely safe. A huge gap in between a shield of trees, and a small pond that lied between it. In the gap lied a field of glass, and an abandoned house; A perfect place that a younger girl would be able to hide in. Removing the small markers from his pocket, items he used for his time as a baseball leader to represent each person, he immediately marked that section as pink.
Checking his clock, a small smile came on his lips, figuring out the first step of the plan. The initial action always had stomped the male, and due to his over need of needing perfection in each, and every action, this would only be the domino effect of his thinking process. Noticing that he had only three hours left until nightfall, Jonah knew he was now going against time. If night were to fall on them, the team would not be able to have a clear vision of the girl's placement, as she would only behind in with he deptness of the night. Looking at the sun, beginning to fall behind the shadows of the trees, the male knew he had to get the plan done at the moment.
Sighing, the male closed his eyes, attempting to cloud his mind with blankness. Fault after fault saturated his thoughts, every mistake that was humanly possible filling through his mind. This was his greatest fear---the thought of the entire team failing due to him was the biggest monster, and he just had to let it go. He had to let all of his fear go. Sighing, the male breathed deeply, imaging just himself, and the map infront of him, everything else pretty much nonexistent in the world. This calmed him more than he thought. His heart stopped racing as fast, the clamminess of his palms slowly receding, and his brain completely rid of any obstacles. There was only one thought his mind, and that was the thought of saving the girl.
Marking on his paper, the male used an orange marker to highlight how the female would be able to map out the forest. She was bold and daring, just like the fluorescent color that did not have a word to rhyme with its name. Next, he had used red for Blake. A bold color----one of which that would be able to stand out from the rest, and definitely something that was hard to forget. He would be able to remember Jonah's strategy, and be the leader of the group. Next, he had used purple for Thalia. A color of softness, and something that had definitely represented the healer. Lastly, he had used yellow for Mallory. The ribboned-haired girl would lure the girl in for captivity, and the mission would be accomplished.
As a half an hour flown by, Jonah went to work on the map, marking each person's move strategically. Running over the mission several times, the male knew that there was no possible room for failure. After what he had believed to come the closest to possible satisfactory of the plan, he handed the map to the group, who had been secluded from him. "Okay, guys. I tried my best at this, and each one of you represents a different color. I made sure that you guys did not do anything that you were not comfortable with doing, and, you all are clearly marked on this map." He stopped, realizing he was sounding more like a dictator, than a team member of some sort.
"Most of all, guys," He began, his warm orbs looking up at his fellow mission members. "Good luck," He sighed. Jonah watched as the group began to walk away. Sometimes, he had wished that he could go on the mission with the others, but, he knew he was only needed for one thing----his strategic skills.
