“In the past, Christmas celebrations for the Coldwell household was not about love, or sharing, or being nice. Heck, it wasn’t even a proper celebration. They would host parties for the community and put their best faces, pretend they were the perfect family. But this year it was special. All the siblings were under one roof, surrounded by people they loved. And this time, they would actually be merry. No heels, or gowns, or insincere greetings. Just happiness, fluff and fun. If we’re being honest, this was truly their first Christmas. Hopefully, this was just the beginning”
Wishing you all who celebrate an actually Happy Christmas! Love, Carolina.
As it is custom, the Coldwell Museum’s end of the year fundraiser took place yesterday night, where town royalty and it-couple, April Coldwell and fiancé Jonathan Gillespie made their first public appearance since the Coldwell family scandal back in April. Coldwell, who is now the CEO of C.W. Enterprises, recently donated several of her family’s shares, including those in the Museum. Her commitment to loosening the control of her family over the town seems to be genuine, and plans are being made to rename many institutions who hold the family’s title. “Today is not about my family’s company,” Miss Coldwell said. “It’s about the work this Museum does for the community, and a celebration of what was accomplished this year, and will continue into the next. On a more personal note, I cannot imagine a better way to spend the last days of this year, than admiring incredible art, holding the hand of the love of my life.” More on page 27.
A: “It’s everything alright?” Her instinct was to immediately expect the worst. After all, her confrontational family had predisposed her to always be defensive, a trait she was working on during her therapy.
J: “It’s more than alright,” he assured her. “A few weeks ago you were in a bad place, and look at you now. You have accomplished so much. And I don’t mean about becoming a CEO, which is quite badass too. But about you, as a person. I told you we could make our own traditions, and I’m glad that facing our problems and talking about them is one of those. I am so incredibly proud of you.”
A: “Oh, Jon, thank you so much for saying that. And for all your support. I don’t know what I’d do without you. And let me say the same to you. I know it wasn’t an easy decision to sell your parents’ law firm. But you and Fred really handled this so well. I’m proud of you too.”
J: “Thank you. I think it’s time we begin to live our lives for ourselves,” he said as he enveloped her in an embrace. “Goddess, I can’t wait to marry you.”
A: “Feeling is mutual.”
J: “I thought you’d be making a hole in the ground by now,” Jon said to his fiancé. It was a stressful event they were about to experience, and a little anxiety was to be expected. “You are very calm.”
A: “I had my freak-out yesterday,” she informed him. “I’m good now. Plus, it’s been coming a long time. Did you see my siblings?” she asked in an attempt to change the subject. “I think I saw Kiaan’s truck outside…”
J: “Yes, he headed to Gus’ room. Your brother seems a little nervous, but M is just fine. She’s outside with Fred, I think.”
A: “She usually is,” April said with a weak smile. “How long do we have?”
J: “There’s still some time. But I can call again if you need an update.”
A: “No, it’s fine. But I admit it, maybe I am a bit more anxious that I let on. Do you think it will be this stressful at the wedding?”
J: “Normally, I’d say yes. But in this case, I doubt it. How you feel is understandable. But hey, since we have a minute, I want to say something.”
J: “I’m not saying that. But there are better ways to cope.”
A: “I just wanna see… maybe even understand.”
J: “I know. But I’m worried about you.”
A: “I’ll be okay. I just need time to process. I’ll forget about it soon enough.”
J: “Forget?”
A: “It’s the family tradition, isn’t it?”
J: “That’s the good part… now we’re starting our own family, we get to have our own traditions. And we will remember. Now, come on. It’s late. Let’s go to bed.”
You have been silently drowning.
Never let anyone in.
For who could ever judge you,
When no one truly knows you.

Economy Daily: “Youngest CFO in History, by Sarah Longbottom”
It may come as a shock to many, but C.W. Enterprises has welcomed the youngest CFO in history, at only 22 years old.
And yes, it might be because she’s the natural heir of the empire, but it cannot be denied this is still huge for women everywhere.

TMZ: “We Hear Expensive Wedding Bells”
Rich Celebrity. You heard it here first folks! For years, April and Jonathan have maintained a long distance, on and off relationship, and now, the newly graduated Doctor and millionaire philanthropist, has finally popped the question. Luckily, the CFO of C.W. Enterprises and heiress to the family’s empire, said yes, sources report. This comes on the heels of the Gillespie’s tragic accident that left the siblings to inherit the fortune, as well as the lawyer firm Jonathan Gillespie Senior founded alongside Jessica Torres. With Frederick still a teenager and Jonathan barely out of Med School, the future of their family’s legacy hangs in the balance. Could the union of both families help their situation? We doubt this is a publicity stunt, but the timing is suspicious, so who knows? What we do know is we are obsessed with them, and have nothing but good wishes. Hope my invitation doesn’t get lost in the mail!

Author’s Notes:
Perhaps you remember Jon from that short story I never finished? Decided to bring him back because he fits this world. Also, Fred is his brother.
April is concerned here but it’s probably not for the reasons you imagine. Also, very subtly, I have dropped clues for the story, especially about April, all over her office. If anyone can guess anything from that, I will love you forever.
As you know, I’ve made that pose and the ones that will follow. And I also built the offices complex (and you can only see the front, omg). I’ve been practicing, and I’m getting better at both activities. But I still am a long way.
Trying something new. I’ve been drawing inspiration from other creators and I want to develop my own style. I’ve been changing it so much this past year, and it is still a wip. It’s almost where I want it... almost.
I tried finding a quote that fit her, but I didn’t find it. So I wrote a little poem (?) I suck at it, clearly.
That’s it! Sorry about so much rambling! I wanted to share these things cause I think they’re neat, and no one ever hears about it.
J: “April? Oh, there you are. Coming to bed?”
A: “In a bit.”
J: “Are you okay? Oh, please tell me you’re not doing what I think you’re doing.”
A: “I… yeah.”
J: “No, April, come on. This isn’t healthy.”
A: “What am I supposed to do? Pretend it doesn’t exist? I’m tired of pretending.”
But things would change when, on her third year, Jonathan Gillespie moved into her dorm. They had shared some classes, but it wasn’t until they became roommates that they truly clicked. Almost out of med-school, he was slightly difficult to be around sometimes. He grew up in wealth, and was taught he was the best child that ever lived. And in many aspects he was quite amazing, which only fed into his ego. But this didn’t mean much to Morwenna, since she had been surrounded by snobs all her life. There was something about Jon, however, that would put everyone else to shame: his heart of gold. He would organize food drives, health week where people could get free healthcare advice, blood drives, anything his community needed. Which also meant dragging her into them.
