DRABBLE GAME | MASTERLIST
Jongin and Chanyeol found themselves in a familiar place they hadn’t been to in years.
‘We really did jump,” Chanyeol said in awe, taking in the old bar they would frequent when they were much younger adults than they were now.
Jongin felt jittery, like this wasn’t right. He had been told that his power could do much more than allow him to travel the world. He could travel dimensions, travel other worlds….
And time travel apparently.
He had no idea where exactly they were. Suho had told him to think of a time before shit hit the fan, before they lost everything.
“Excuse me,” Chanyeol called to a bartender. “Silly question, but what’s the date today?”
The bartender took him in wearily. Probably wondering if he needed to be cut off or not.
“Please,” he pressed. “It’s important.”
She sighed. “It’s the fifth of September. Twenty eighteen.”
“Twenty eighteen,” Chanyeol repeated with wide eyes, locking them with Jongin. “Bro, you fucking did it.”
“That’s too far back,” Jongin said between clenched teeth. He was aiming more towards 2021. Three years before The Attack.
“But there’s a reason why you sent us here.”
Chanyeol may be right about that, but he couldn’t understand it himself. The reasoning behind this specific time, this specific spot.
But then he heard a recognizable laugh and all the color drained from his face.
Chanyeol heard it too, throwing him a look full of warning. But Jongin ignored it, walking deeper into the dim building in search of the voice.
At a table, surrounded by a group of familiar faces, he saw the reason why he brought himself back here.
You.
The love of his life. The one who sacrificed everything that day. The one he lost.
You were there. Alive. Laughing. Unaware of the journey you were about to embark, of how drastically the world was going to change.
You were the reason why he even attempted to time travel.
He took a step towards the table, but then Chanyeol had him pressed against a wall, his forearm dug into Jongin’s neck.
“We don’t know what will happen if we interact with them,” he hissed. “We’re here to observe. To search for the red force. To discover the traitor.”
Jongin’s eyes were frantic as he tried to look at you again. “They’re here. The traitor is sitting at that table as we speak!”
“Yes,” Chanyeol agreed gravely. “With your wife. Your dead wife.” Jongin went still in his grip. “Shit, we might already be here. What’ll happen it we bump into our younger selves?”
Jongin wasn’t sure. He didn’t understand how any of this stuff worked. He just knew that it did. But, he couldn’t accept Chanyeol’s words yet. He searched his memories, wondering if he had met you, by now. But, you hadn’t. It wouldn’t be for a moment still.
“We’re not. I haven’t.” He swallowed thickly, which was hard to do with Chanyeol’s arm still pressed against his neck. “I haven’t met her yet.”
Chanyeol sighed. “This isn’t a good idea, Jongin.”
“Please, just let me see her,” he begged. “It’s been over a year, Chanyeol. I promise I won’t do anything, but I need to talk to her. I need to hear her voice again. I….”
He was so messed up without you. A ghost of the man he used to be. He swore he died the same night you did. Chanyeol saw that. Saw what the loss had done to his partner.
It was reluctantly, but he let him go, ignoring the relieved smile that bloomed on Jongin’s face. He pointed at him. “No funny business. We have a mission. We have to stick to it.”
“And we will,” Jongin was quick to say. “But for today, let’s just be normal, while we still can. This is the only peace we’ll ever get again. Let’s enjoy it.”
Chanyeol took in the bar that no longer existed in their timeline. Took in the smells and voices, and Jongin saw just how tired his friend was. How the war had drained him. He’d lost just as many people, had suffered just as much.
“Okay,” Chanyeol fully relented. “Let’s order some drinks.”
After getting a couple drinks, the two of them made their way over to the table you were sat at. Jongin couldn’t take his eyes off of you. You were even more beautiful than he remembered, nearly glowing under the yellow lights ahead.
“Mind if we join?” He asked, looking nowhere else but at you.
“Oh?” Another girl at the table, your best friend he realized, said. She took in the tall handsome men. “We could really enjoy the company.”
Jongin wasted no time sliding into the empty chair beside you, thankful for that. He sat a cup in front of you and you studied it for a brief moment before braving a sip.
Your eyebrows raised when it hit your taste buds.
“This is my favorite. How did you know?”
He grinned knowingly at you. “I could tell you were a woman with class.”
You laughed breathlessly at that, a bit intimidated under his intense stare. Still, he was ridiculously handsome—handsome enough to ignore the red flags. So, you introduced yourself.
“Jongin.” He held onto your hand and nearly sobbed at the familiar contact. When you went to pull away, he refused to let go. You giggled before shyly turning back to your drink.
Chanyeol cleared his throat, and Jongin remembered himself, finally letting your hand go.
He took in the others at the table. There were three girls and two men, including you. The men he recognized instantly as Kyungsoo and Baekhyun.
It was one of them, the traitor. The one who gave the Red Force their plans, leading to the attack that changed everything, that killed Jongin’s wife.
No. He wouldn’t think about that right now. Not when he had you back.
“So, you come here often?” Your best friend, Kim Jiwon, asked. Jongin was suspicious of her as well. She was a lousy friend, and was rather close to Kyungsoo. She also disappeared after the attack.
Chanyeol and Jongin locked eyes.
“We do,” Chanyeol said, sipping the brown drink he had ordered for himself. He closed his eyes as it coated his tongue, savoring the old taste he once enjoyed.
“Usually after work. A little treat after a hard day.” Jongin supplied.
“We do too!” You said excitedly. He fought his smile at your joy. That was something you would always say everytime you ended up at the bar.
“Oh?” He played off. “What is it that you do?”
“We’re engineers,” Baekhyun spoke up. “We work for the government. We build—”
“Planes,” Kyungsoo interrupted.
Jongin lifted an eyebrow at you, questioning the legitimacy of Kyungsoo’s answer. You shrugged. “You can say that.”
The night continued on. The table went round for round on drinks. Jongin was finding himself getting drunk for the first time in years. He was never much of a drinker to begin with, but today he needed all the alcohol he could get.
“I’ll have the Flying Dutchmen,” he ordered to the waitress, who rolled her eyes at the mostly juice drink. “And my wife here will have another Pink Lady.”
Chanyeol kicked his leg. He pouted.
You tilted your head curiously. You were pressed so close to him, he could feel your chest rise and fall against his arm. “Your wife? You know, that’s the third time you’ve called me that tonight.”
“Is it?” he asked, falling more into your space. You allowed him.
“Yeah,” you smirked up at him. “Why is that?”
“Because,” he slurred, nose touching yours. “I’m gonna marry you one day.”
“You don’t even know me,” you pointed out, but he caught how breathless you sounded, how warm your face grew.
He hummed. “Not now maybe, but I already know that I love you.”
You watched him for a moment, appearing very sober as you wondered if this was okay. If he meant what he was saying, and wasn’t being a creep. Gorgeous be damned. Telling a stranger you loved them was definitely a red flag.
You swallowed thickly. “Love? That’s…that’s a serious word.”
He nodded slowly, staring at the sensual shape of your mouth. God, he wanted to kiss you. He wanted to show you just how much he loved you, to tell you he never stopped. Ever.
“And I’m very serious when it comes to you.” His tone revealed as much.
Your drinks arrived, and to his satisfaction, you didn’t turn away from him. “Prove it.”
And maybe it was the drinks that made you so bold. Or it was the way the handsome stranger looked at you. There was… a sadness in his eyes. A sadness and a devotion that you found both startling and intriguing.
He went to do just that. His lips brushed against yours when his friend called his name. A reminder.
“Maybe it’s time to go,” his friend—Chanyeol, you recalled—suggested.
“But we just got our drinks,” Baekhyun whined.
“At least finish those first. We have to go soon too. Work in the morning.” You laughed awkwardly under the weight of the tall man’s gaze.
“One more drink,” he said, but his attention was on the man beside you, who couldn’t seem to focus on anything other than you.
He was a bit more solemn than a moment ago. He didn’t reply, instead lifting his drink and clinking it against your own before chugging it empty.
“Jongin!” You gasped, disappointed that he finished it so quickly. Was he that eager to leave you?
He shivered before getting to his feet. Not even gracing you with a goodbye before he was heading to the door.
“We’ll take care of the bill,” Chanyeol said as he followed his friend.
No. There was no way you were going to let the man who just told you he was going to marry you walk away without even a goodbye.
“Wait!” You called after them, running past Chanyeol to grab Jongin’s sleeve.
He stopped walking immediately. The men shared a glance as Chanyeol walked past, but didn’t say anything.
Finally, he turned to you.
“Will I see you again?” You couldn’t help but ask. It was unlike you to chase after a man, but Jongin was different. You could tell.
He threw a look over his shoulder, at Chanyeol, and then grabbed your face, pulling you in to kiss you.
You had never felt something like this before. You wrapped your arms around his neck, holding him close to you as he kissed you as if a man reunited with a lover after being torn away from them. Like he wanted you.
Like he loved you.
When he finally pulled away, with difficulty on both parts, there were tears in his eyes.
“I’ll see you soon,” was all he was able to get out before he stormed out the door.
You swore you saw him vanish into thin air before it closed.
A/N: This one may have got a bit more angsty and emotional than originally planned, but I promise its still very sweet and fluffy in the end!
You’d been friends with EXO for years, but recently you’d found your self growing closer and closer to Kai. It didn’t help that you’d started going to see them at the studios while they were rehearsing. You’d accidentally become a sort of unofficial photographer for them as they shared so many of your snaps on social, you were just hoping none of them would realise how many more pictures of Kai there were than any of the others.
Today you’d been running some errands, mainly for yourself, but some for the guys too. You knew they were having a pretty casual day, some of them just chilling at the dorms, but Kai would definitely be at the studio. You’d decided while you were out you would pick up Kai some lunch and drop it into him on your way back.
When you got there you softly pushed the door open, hoping to sneak in without disturbing him. Xiumin spotted you instantly and shouted out, interrupting Kai’s dance.
“KAI! YOUR GIRLFRIENDS HERE!”
“I’m not his girlfriend,” you reminded Min.
“Y/n!” Kai called stopping his routine.
“Hey,” you said, as he came over to hug you. “I was shopping, running some errands, and thought I’d stop by.”
“You brought me something?” he asked, hopefully, looking at the bag in your hand.
“I know what you’re like, you get too into the dances and forget to eat, so I brought you lunch.”
Suddenly Min let out a cough in a poor attempt to hide the word “girlfriend” as it fell from his lips again.
“Ignore him,” Kai told you taking the bag. “You’re the best. Always looking out for me.”
You smiled, “Well, no-one wants you to starve.”
“Sit with me,” he said, taking your hand and leading you to the seats in the corner of the room.
“Nini, I’ve got things to be doing at home,” you told him, even though you were following where he lead you.
He looked to you, pouting in a way you found irresistible. “Things that are so important they can’t wait for you to have lunch with your best friend?”
You felt a pang in your chest. It was partly because he just look so damn cute, partly because you didn’t want to just be best friends. Your face must have fallen too, as Kai stopped suddenly.
“What’s wrong? Do you need to leave urgently? I don’t want to pressure you into staying.”
You just couldn’t cope with how sweet and thoughtful he was sometimes.
“Umm, you know what, I should probably go,” you stuttered. “If you still want to hang out, maybe you can come see me after?” You decided that if he did turn up, you would confess. And that would give you the afternoon to decide what to say.
“Promise me you’re ok?” Worry was written all over Kai’s face as he spoke.
“Of course,” you faked a smile. “I just… I’ll see you later.”
You turned quickly and speed-walked out of the room.
What was wrong with you? You thought to yourself. You’ve hung out with Kai plenty before and been fine. Something about today just seemed to overwhelm you; the fact that he stopped his routine to hug you, the huge smile on his face when he saw you’d come to see him, the gentle way he took your hand, and the genuine concern he showed for you. The cherry on top though, was the fact that to him this was all for his ‘best friend’. You just couldn’t hang out with him anymore unless he knew how he made you feel.
When you got home, you got on with house work trying not to focus on your encounter. You’d barely been back for an hour when there was a knock at your door. You pulled it open to see a very dishevelled and upset looking Kai.
“I wasn’t expecting you yet,” you said stepping a side to let him in, but he didn’t move.
“What happened?” he asked, his usual energy missing as he looked at the floor.
“What do you-“ you started but he cut you off.
“Have I offended you? Are you upset with me?”
“No, of course not, I could never be upset with you.”
“I just wanted to eat my lunch with you, and you got upset and left and I’ve been trying to work out why, and what I did wrong.”
“You didn’t do anything,” you told him, your heart breaking at the distraught look on his face. “Come in, please.”
He finally crossed the threshold, and you closed the door behind him before taking his hand, the way he did to you earlier and lead him to the sofa.
“Nini, look at me,” you asked, still holding his hand. “It’s literally the opposite. You did everything right. You were completely lovely and sweet.”
“Then why?” he looked like a lost child as he finally made eye contact with you.
“Because…” you took a deep breath. “Because you are too lovely, and you made a comment about me being your best friend, and I don’t want to be just your best friend. I want to be yours, completely. I want you to treat me like that all the time, but only me. I want to turn up to surprise you, and not be mad at Min for announcing me as your girlfriend, because I want it to be true.”
You’d barely finished talking when Kai all but threw himself at you, embracing you tightly.
“You idiot,” he muttered into your shoulder. “You could have just told me. You’re my favourite person, and I thought I’d hurt you. I’ve been beating myself up since you left and it turns out, you just liked me back,” he continued with his face buried in the crook of your neck
“I didn’t know how, especially with other people present.”
“So? We could have kicked Min out.”
You laughed at that.
“I’m so sorry, baby,” you said, the pet name rolling naturally of your tongue. “Forgive me?”
“Only if you’re going to be my girlfriend now,” he told you, finally pulling away.
“Of course,” you smiled, cupping his face in your hands.
Kai smiled back, before passionately pressing his lips to yours. Your hands slipped to rest behind his neck as he placed one of his on the small of your back and the other between your shoulder blades, holding you as close as possible.
When he broke the kiss, he rested his forehead on yours. “From now on, we talk to each other when somethings bothering us,” he told you.
“Deal,” you smiled, before bringing your lips together again.
“𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚,” she smiled, a tiny smile, almost indistinguishable, but it was peaceful. peaceful with an edge of... cruelty. she was staring off of the cliff, down into the rushing, churning black river. “𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚.”
“𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙬. 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚,” she continued, expecting silence from him. jongin was conditioned to it. she was demanding. she controlled him. he hung onto every word, every syllable, drowning in the eerie cadence of her voice. it was rhythmic, timed, as if reciting a song.
he took in their surroundings. the cliff, the remnants of an old parking lot, the car he had crashed through the warning signs of the condemned area. he wondered if there was still any residue on the middle console. he might have missed some… his nose burned, but he didn’t feel the high.
“𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨,” she breathed.
“𝙣𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩,” the words tumbled out of his mouth.
she didn’t miss a beat. “𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧,” she instructed, still calm, still disturbingly melodic.
“𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙,” his voice was dull, the hatred heavily clouded by the weight, the cloud, the haze, the grief.
there was a beat. a note skipped.
and she turned to look at him, the first time he had seen her confused in years.
“𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩?”
and maybe he wasn’t in his right mind. he failed earlier that night, with nothing but cuts and bruises from where he fell- probably something broken, too, he couldn’t say, and his head slammed against the wheel of the car when he collided with the barriers. there was blood dripping into his mouth.
he felt a burn within him, but no pain.
“𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙙’𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙, 𝙞’𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙞’𝙢 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙,” talking about himself in the third person didn’t feel any more unhinged than anything else he had been doing recently. the words coming out of him were tense, coiled like a snake, animal in inflection.
she rolled her eyes. “𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪,” she spoke as if he was overreacting, as if he was just having a lapse, expecting him to subdue himself. her thoughts, the tone of her thoughts leaked into what was left of his mind.
he retaliated. “𝙤𝙝, 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩? 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚,” his inflection was exponentially biting. “𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙨,” he commanded, helplessly gesturing to himself, his bloody form, his bones sticking out, the carcass of what jongin used to be.
“𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨, 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧,” he referenced the forbidden she, a topic that made her hold back a wince. he heard the urge echo in her brain, yet it wasn’t weakness- just residual pain.
she still was the one in control. he was merely throwing a temper tantrum in her eyes.
“𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨,” he gasped out, mourning himself, so far removed from the husk speaking. “𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧,” he lunged forward, mere inches away from her, staring at him cooly.
“𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮’𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚,” he smirked, joylessly, void of amusement, and held his finger a centimeter from her face. “𝙗𝙪𝙩, y̸̠͙̺͑̽̾n̸͇͓͌͐͒, 𝙞 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚.”
“𝙞 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢, 𝙞 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢, ’𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙙,” her chin was jutted up, her fists clenched, and her nose wrinkled slightly, but her defensiveness shone through.
“𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙙𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙!” he screamed, and small particles of his saliva flew from his mouth. “𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙢, 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙙𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙚!”
“𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙚?!” she demanded.
jongin was burnt out. he was drained, tormented, haunted by her sheer existence, within his mind and her manifestation outside of it. he spoke, calmly, staring at her. it wasn’t just her, his friend, the one he begrudgingly acknowledged, but her, the forbidden one, the thought he tried to keep secret from himself.
“𝙤𝙝, 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛.”
she froze, staring up at him, into his demented eyes- more black than brown after the self-inflicted abuse.
she felt the weight of his statement, quickly turning into disbelief. she was careful to keep it guarded, void of it in her expression, as she stared cooly up at him, in contrast to his down at her, yet matching her own contempt. she hated jongin, just as he hated her.
“𝙞 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣.”
“𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚. 𝙞’𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛.”
“𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩!” she fought, desperate to shift his focus to herself, to what she was to him, and what she meant.
“𝙞 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩,” jongin argued, a strange sort of relieved madness in his voice- an expression of his lost self, the delusion he bathed in.
“𝙨𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨, 𝙞 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩!” she fought, preventing him from moving away, reaching to grab his wrist in a vice grip.
“𝙣𝙤, 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧!” he tugged himself free of her, bent on leaving in one way or another. “𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙧! 𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚; 𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙧!” his screams echoed off of the bare plain, mingled with the wind and rush of the river, intertwined with the smell of cold water, steam emanating from his mouth. “𝙬𝙚 𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙞𝙢- 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙠𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡!”
he blamed her. her blamed her for his loss, for his life and sanity- they could have worn away completely, at that point. he didn’t know. he blamed krystal, too, for pushing him there- but he had blamed her more, and shifting the severity of those emotions allowed him to be rid of her. the parasitic her. y̸̠͙̺͑̽̾n̸͇͓͌͐͒.
“𝙞 𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩! 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩,” she wailed, sensing the attempt to break free. her arms wound around his neck, pulling him close, impossibly close to her. the cold made him warmer, and his neck was somehow slick with sweat.
“𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩!” he shouted, in unison. “𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙞 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩. 𝙖 𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙’𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙙, 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙨-𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙠𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙨!” he babbled, pacing before his friend. he had never fought back against her. he had never threatened her in this way, refused to even jeopardize their partnership, their bond to each other.
“𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩,” she stated, wryly, as if talking to someone pathetic. she wanted to break him, to give him no choice but to lose his will, his fight, and have him crawling back. he would pay for this.
𝙤𝙣𝙚, 𝙩𝙬𝙤, 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚, 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧
𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧?

𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬’𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩, 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚
he babbled to himself, grinning, sure in his decision to pursue revenge and leave y̸̠͙̺͑̽̾n̸͇͓͌͐͒ behind. the way it should have been years ago. before she was warped and before she became something else.
she snarled, wailed, cried in anguish founded by anger, by loss of power. and jongin smiled sadistically at her.
and she jumped from the cliff, eyes turned black, lost in her defeat. his smile grew wider, and he slowly walked to the edge himself.
she was gone, the way he had craved since she joined him- two years after her initial departure.
he hardly remembered her before she left, when he last saw her white and still as the casket closed. then she was mangled to him, the remainder of her, the one that trailed behind him, sucking the most important parts of him away.
he didn’t remember her before his brain showed him what she was. what she meant.
there was no trace of her landing, of her body entering the water, like he foolishly expected.
pairing: jongin x reader.
genre: angst.
description: you’ve been his best friend for years. you’ve always yearned to be something more, but he’ll never see you that way.
word count: tba.
inspiration: waterparks, i’ll always be around.
you had been there for jongin when he was pursuing krystal. you had been his wingman, taught him how to win over a hard-to-get girl — silently, you had wished that he would use the tactics on you, instead, but he never did. then again, were you really hard to get? if he would’ve just thrown you a goddamn bone, you would’ve fetched it within a split second. he’d always missed your casual hints, though, always ignored the glimmer in your eyes and the way your hand rested on his shoulder a little too long. “so, what do i do if she, like. . . sneers at me or something?” he’d asked, and you had let your hand fall from his shoulder. you wondered if he saw the way that your smile fell, but if he did, he never mentioned it.
you had been there for jongin when it all fell to pieces. you had been the shoulder that he had cried on, soaking your best shirts through with tears that he would never let anyone else see. oh, how painful it had been to see him cry. . . but in a twisted way, you’d been happy that he came to you. it made you feel special, knowing that you were the one who he told everything to. expressed his sadness to. maybe you had even thought that there was a bit of hope for you. after all, you were always there for him. one day he’d have to notice, right?
wrong.
there were countless flings that followed, desperate attempts to get over krystal — you acted like you didn’t know that he was still pining for her and he acted like he’d gotten over her long ago. you let him pretend because you figured that if he told himself he was over her enough, maybe he’d really move on.
it seemed like every night, he was calling you with details of blind dates gone awry, sloppy kisses, lack of chemistry and the occasional i think she’s the one just for him to call a week later with a brand-new breakup, a split-second lover to mourn the loss of. it’s crazy that you managed to mask your feelings throughout it all, but you always persevered, even with the heavy weight on your heart. the last thing that you needed was to add to his stress, anyway. . .
and then came jennie. at first, you expected her to be just another fling. . . then again, her similarities to krystal were strikingly obvious. she was high-end, a princess in the modern day. she always looked mad, irritated, jealous. except for when she smiled; when she was happy, oh god, she looked like a work of art belonging in the louvre. just like krystal. and before you knew what was happening, he was running away on a rendezvous to paris with her. “that should be me,” you thought blindly, scoffing at pictures he sent you during his journey, although you always replied with admiration and praise for his newfound love.
it was short-lived, though, and you became the shoulder to cry on once more.
now, here you are, walking down an empty street in the middle of the night with your long-term best friend by your side. “i’m sorry that things didn’t work out. you seemed really happy with her,” you state, as much as the words hurt you. all he does is sigh, and then silence resumes. “i hope that you can learn to be happy on your own, though. you’re a pretty cool person, y’know? i wish you could see that.” you nudge his side with your elbow and look over at him, only to see that he’s smiling at you.
“i’ll try. thanks for always being here for me. i don’t know what i’d do without such a great friend.” and without even knowing it, kim jongin breaks your heart for the hundredth time.

Jongin grins when the two men dressed in black suits open the door for him with shifty eyes, not daring to look at him and definitely not you, the woman glued to his arm, for longer than a second. It makes him grin that he can intimidate these men without even a single word. Jongin walks forward slowly to accommodate you and your somewhat slow pace on your heels. When he suggested you wear them, you eagerly nodded, already trying them on without talking back, and Jongin loves the control he has over you.
Even when he asked if they weren’t too painful, you assured that you wanted to wear anything he asked of you. A bit of a god complex, maybe, but power tends to get into people’s heads. Now you’re walking close to his body, hair pinned up beautifully and curled to frame your face. Just the thought of totally ruining it when he executes his plan makes every step into this room with the most boring people in the world worth it. What he wouldn’t give to make every single one of them jealous. You look glowing, in the dress he picked out for you, as well as paid for. When you two descend the fancy marble stairs, he can hear a small intake of breath on your part, which makes Jongin smile.
You’re nervous. You always get so willfully bendable and moldable around his fingers when you’re nervous. Just about every face in the room turns to you two when you walk in. He scans the groups of people quickly, glad to see that none of the women here look more enchanting than you do. Without a word, he leads you towards the table where his main buyer stands, his one-plus standing swirling her champagne around in a bored manner. Your heels click softly which each step you take, and though more people enter, most male guests are focused solely on you, female guests on him. He knows he’s much desired, and has no problem ever using that to his advantage.
When Jongin comes to a halt, you follow suit, a little smile on your lips when he leans over to whisper in your ear. “How are you feeling, baby girl?” His deep voice trembles through your body, and your hands automatically tighten their hold on his suit. “Don’t your perfect little feet hurt too much?” He brushes a little strand of hair away from your cheek with the back of his hand, as you swallow harshly, before shaking your head side to side with wide eyes. So cute, so scared to do wrong for him, it’s so perfectly amusing. “I’ll massage your feet when we go home, my pretty princess. For now though, you’ve got to be good for me, okay?”
Again you quickly nod, not willing to make him wait, so Jongin smiles when pulling back, and presses a chaste kiss to your forehead. He loves making you ache, making you wait and drag out the torture he’s so clearly giving you with every little touch or glance. He looks around the round table then, nodding his head at Kim Jongdae, a man almost as rich as he is. Almost. “Mister Kim, nice to see you again this fine evening. I think I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting your protégée.” He reaches forward then, taking the elegant woman’s hand in his and leaning forward to press a kiss to the soft skin.
You just avert your eyes slightly, a tiny move but Jongin catches it, ignoring the way the other woman looks like she’s beyond ready to go upstairs with him. You’re a way more interesting play thing for him anyway, one that he doesn’t want anyone else to touch. So the way Jongdae’s eyes slide over your beautiful body, lingering way too long on your chest, makes him want to make him disappear. Kim Jongdae is a needed customer though, one he would hate to lose. Jongin’s professional smile never slips, you know this, but the tightening of his arm around your waist makes the point clear. You’re his, and only his.
“Likewise, Jongin. Who is the lovely lady to your side?” Jongdae’s eyes stay on yours, so the question is clearly directed at you. But your eyes slide to Jongin’s in question, checking if he would like to introduce you or not, and it gives him a warm feeling in the bottom of his chest. Despite all the games, you clearly care about him, and he would be lying if he said it didn’t go both ways. So with a little tilt of the head, Jongin gives you a mute agreement. You put your hand out for Jongdae to take much as Jongin had done earlier and smile softly. “Y/N. It’s very nice to meet you, Mr. Kim.”
“The pleasure is all mine. So you are Jongin’s…” He asks, tilting his head curiously, leaving the statement undone. Jongin knows just as well as you do he’s quite known for his playboy side, among other things. Though the last couple of months, no one else has even crossed his mind.
“Our private life is none of your concern, but I can assure you she’s mine, Jongdae.” He knows he sounds possessive, from the way his voice automatically lowers when calling you his, to the way Jongdae’s eyebrows rise in curiosity and surprise. It’s not like himself to call anyone his. Not in the way like he talks about you, at least. Jongdae’s eyes slide from Jongin back to you, where you stand looking up at the man to your side with wide eyes. Even though he calls you his more than once a day, it’s not often he claims you in front of people he knows, people he interacts with on a daily.
Jongin catches your eyes quickly, bending to press a chaste kiss on your temple, one that sends you reeling and needing to take a deep breath, before looking over the room. Most men there have either lost interest, or are looking at the floor with a pout. You’re taken, that much is clear. Some of them still have the audacity to look over at you with predatory eyes though.
One of them, CEO of the Vivian Hotel chain, Oh Sehun. Jongin almost rolls his eyes at the way Sehun’s eyes trail down your body, his own arm wrapped around his lady friend for the night. If Jongin is known as a playboy, Sehun is his partner in crime. Well, quite literally as well. The two men not so much as despise each other, but Oh Sehun has money, and that’s an offer that Jongin, as a good businessman, can never resist. Sehun has been wanting to talk about buying some of his possessions for a good price, but Jongin hasn’t found the time to sit down with him yet.
Maybe tonight would be a good night to change that.
You swirl some of your favorite drink in your glass, dainty fingers clasped around the crystal, and take a sip of the champagne. Jongin’s eyes flutter for a second, before letting his free hand rest on your waist and turning you more towards him. You quickly put your glass on the table, scared to drop it because when Jongin looks at you like that, it means he’s up to no good. You should have expected nothing more when he asked you out like this.
His hand trails down a little further as he leans in to whisper to you, fingers dragging up and down the expanse of your exposed thigh lazily. “Listen, baby girl. Though I would love to give you my full attention right now, I’ve got some business to attend to.” When pulling back, he pouts a little, one which you subconsciously mirror. His fingers stop in their track, stilling just at the edge of your dress, before rubbing little circles. You expect him to do something that would have you blushing like a madman, but he doesn’t just yet. Still, your breathing hitches in anticipation and Jongin can’t hold the smile that creeps up.
He leans back closer again. “I need you to help me, okay, princess?” Without hesitating, you nod, eyes fluttering closed for a second. Jongin can feel Jongdae’s stare, but he doesn’t care. Well, actually he does, it’s the whole reason he’s putting on this big a show. “I need you to walk your pretty little ass over to the table in the back,” he cocks his head in the direction, “to that man with the blue tie. You see him?” You look over and nod, biting your bottom lip slowly. “Good.” He trails his other hand down to the small of your back pettingly. “Tell him that I’d like him to join our table for dinner. We have some things to talk about, and I want you to make sure that he agrees to talk to me. Can you so that, sweetheart?”
You nod in determination, and lean up to wrap your arms around his neck for a second, pulling him close enough so you can whisper to him as well. “I don’t like the way these girls are looking at you. You’ll play nice, won’t you? I’ve been good all night.” Jongin smiles at your true pout when you pull back, seeing that indeed, multiple women are looking at the scene unfolding. They must be longing for a touch as well, since their husbands or boyfriends are not giving them anything in public. Sadly, his hands are occupied. He leans into you, taking a gentle hold on your face to tilt it towards him, and press his lips to yours.
You let out a tense sigh, one you must have been concealing this entire time, before he molds his lips to yours again, twice, three times, but then quickly pulls back. A professional reputation isn’t easily bought, he recalls. “Go, go.” He mumbles, brushing a strand of hair out of your face. You listen, of course you do, and walk away from the table with elegant steps, hips definitely swaying more than normal, and Jongin has to hold in a sharp intake of breath.
He knows that’s his, it’s his and his alone, but God- does he wish he could let everyone see it right here and now. As expected, Sehun’s eyes catch your shape as soon as you move, and Jongin needs to look away. Not because he’s jealous, he knows that you’re only his to bend and break all night long, but because he doesn’t want to give Sehun a chance to back out.
Instead he turns to the man standing across the table, and folds his hands together on top of the surface. “Jongdae, I hope you don’t mind if someone accompanies our table for tonight. But business is business and however cozy this gathering might be, we are all still businessmen first, right?”
“Of course. Do what you must, Kim. It’s my pleasure.” He looks over Jongin’s shoulder for a second, before smiling coyly, and runs a hand through his hair. “One question though, how long do you plan to keep her around?”
The woman next to him almost chokes on her drink at that, sputtering to cough up the alcohol that had slipped down her throat in surprise. “Jongdae! You can’t ask that of someone, that’s so impolite!” She smacks what Jongin presumes is her boyfriend on the chest, glaring at him.
“No, it’s alright.” Jongin smirks, unable to help the cocky attitude that builds. “It’s a fair question, when I’ve had more women than the city is rich of. It’s only logical someone like Kim Jongdae would wonder, when my name has been screamed too many times to count.” The young lady swallows her tongue then, blushing furiously, and looks away. She catches his eyes for another second, before letting out a hitched breath. Jongdae blushes too, though he presumes not for the same reason as his partner. Jongdae’s is one of embarrassment, burning bright on his cheeks and Jongin allows himself to linger in it for just a bit.
Your heels announce that you’re on the way back to the table, and Jongin looks over his shoulder at you, catching the way your eyes stay on his, though your lips are flattened out. As soon as you reach the table, he wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you close to him, pressing a kiss to the top of your head which clearly catches you off guard. He turns to both other parties though, smiling softly. “I plan to keep her around for a good while, Mr. Kim. Thanks for asking.”
You look at him in question, eyes wide as you look between the three people at the table but Jongin just mouths a ‘don’t worry’, before turning towards the sudden noise, like everyone else.
Three waiters, dressed to the nines, are walking inside, carrying a table, while three others start clearing the high round tables that are spread across the room, and putting them aside. Time for dinner. That reminds him. “How did it go, baby?” He whispers, looking down at you with suddenly soft eyes, trailing a thumb down your jaw. Your body freezes for a second, before you pout.
“Men are all gross. Except for maybe you.” You pull him a bit closer by his tie, mouth corners twitching. “He’ll join us. Though he didn’t agree before whispering some very,” you pull him even closer, brushing your lips over his jaw, “very~ dirty things. I think that you should punish him when you get the chance, because if I wasn’t so desperately yours-” You don’t continue your sentiment when Jongin pulls back, glaring lightning across the room. Oh Sehun isn’t looking here, but Jongin is already mentally wanting to ram his fist into his pretty face. You giggle softly, sliding your hands up his chest.
Both of you move out of the way for a second when another set of waiters comes to replace your table. “What did he say to you?” Jongin growls under his breath, eyes not leaving your pretty face, and you immediately clench your thighs together, knowing that nothing good can come from a voice like that. Your smile slips off, replaced by a coy look, pouting a little. “Tell me exactly what he told you, or there will be consequences.”
You nod, looking at your feet now Jongin’s dominant side is coming up so clearly. When the chairs are placed, he leads you to your chair, the one closest to the edge of the table so you can’t sit next to anyone else, and gives you a cock of his brow. “Get on with it.”
You blush a little, before beckoning him closer to whisper to him. “It’s not my fault, just remember that I refused everything.” You blink your lashes desperately, wanting to have him mad, but not that mad that you’re not allowed to have any fun tonight. When Jongin doesn’t respond, you just sigh with a pout. “He told me that I looked so sexy in this dress, that he’d want to hike it up my beautiful thighs and make me feel good. He said that he could fuck me so well that I’d come all over him and not remember anything but his name when he would be done with me. He said he’s finger fuck me so hard I see stars and after that, pound into me until I couldn’t walk for days.”
You swallow, already regretting telling him the truth but you can’t lie to Jongin, he’d get the truth out of you no matter what. “He-” you pull back just for a second, glancing at just the man you are talking about as he joins the table, before quickly finishing your story, “he said that he could treat me better than you can.” That’s what tips Jongin over the edge. He doesn’t show it, doesn’t make it apparent to anyone but himself but Oh Sehun would pay. That, and you’d remember who you belong to for the rest of your life.
Everything moves in a blur after that, the introduction to Sehun and his girl friend, the waiters coming to ask for the food, the food arriving. Jongin skips through all of that, skips through all of the niceties because frankly, he doesn’t care anymore. He’d make sure Oh Sehun’s business would burn to the ground, just for that. No one plays with what’s his, not even that cocky millionaire.
It’s halfway through your appetizer you feel the hand. The hand you had been expecting earlier, maybe in the car ride here or in the bathroom before leaving the place, but not right when you are stuffing some shrimp into your face and are seated with four other people. Jongin doesn’t seem to care, but you sure do, when the hand slides up without warning. His fingers are on the inside of your thigh, just not reaching your underwear, and you sigh in defeat.
You should have really expected this. You’ll suffer tonight. Very quietly, you scoot your dress a little higher, allowing him more access. You don’t want to piss him off more when he’s in this kind of mood. His fingers react immediately, giving you soft pets and strokes, starting out slow. Even when Jongin is mad, he is respectful, and knows your body. When you look over at him, he’s just talking to Jongdae. He hasn’t spoken a word directly to Sehun the entire evening so far.
When his hand twists a little, he moves it over your clothed center, humming in agreement to something the other says. You look away, biting the inside of your cheek. His big hand feel so warm, so nice, so sweet. That’s until he starts rubbing up and down over your panties with more pressure, making you sigh into yourself. Your belly heats up instantly, aching for the feel of his fingers inside you. His thick, long hands that are rubbing you up and down beneath you dress, where you’re sat at the table with other important people.
You can’t help that that thought turns you on. His fingers now leave you, only for his index finger to start circling your clothed clit. You hold a moan, clenching around nothing as he continues in conversation. At that point, you put your fork down, and spread your legs just a little more. If you can’t stop him, which you definitely can’t, and don’t want to, you’d rather have the full experience. You know Jongin anyway, he wouldn’t let you get away.
His circling lasts for a bit, until he gets bored of that and starts running his finger along the edge of your panties, so close you so far. You’re already getting wet at the thought of him fingering you, let alone right here, at the table, but God- do you want him to hurry up. You don’t say anything though, reaching for your glass to hold it in your hand a little desperately.
Eventually, when his finger moves back to your thigh, you sigh, and lean over, not able to help it. You want him, and you want him now. You can imagine his beautiful, muscular body, can imagine the lines that lead from his hips in a v to his crotch, his strong thighs. You lean over to him, resting your chin on his shoulder. “Jongin, please take me to the back, and fuck me. Please. I’ve been waiting for so long already.” You don’t care that you sound desperate, he loves it and you love it.
Jongin tuts his lips though, shaking his head so that his cheek brushes yours. “I’m talking business, princess. You can’t be this needy already, when I’ve not even touched you.” He turns away from you, and for a moment you are truly let down. Jongin isn’t one to deny you, only if you’ve been really bad and right now, you don’t feel like you have. He doesn’t say anything else to you.
You pout, confused. But before you can mope too much, his hand is back between your legs, this time, more intently. He’s talking business, but seems to want to make you feel included, because his fingers spread to rub just around your clit, and your breathing hitches. That was unexpected. He doesn’t let you move to get a better angle, because he’s already moving your panties to the side. You’re dripping, you know you are, you always are for him. He slowly gathers some of the wetness there, as you do your best not to let your head cock back in pleasure. His big hands always feel so, so good. You can’t help it.
You suddenly get a thought. You want him to feel good too. Normally, you know that Jongin wouldn’t let you, but he’s in a bad mood and if you’re doing this, you might as well do it well. You sneak your hand down under the table. His thighs flex when you run your nail along them, and you think that’s it, that he’ll take your hand away and stop because his fingers still, but to your surprise, he continues. His fingers start gliding with purpose from your slit to your clit, pressing hard enough to make you want to bite your lip so hard that it pulls blood but you know you can’t, here in public.
Instead you try to focus on making him feel good. Your hand moves from his thigh higher, over his crotch softly. Right at that moment, Jongin slips two fingers inside you, and you almost choke on your spit. Holding in a desperate whimper as best as you can, you glide your hand to cup him through his pants. You can feel his hardness under your fingers, and really you want nothing more than to drag him out of the room to have him fuck you. When you move to unzip his pants though, he stops you.
“Nuh uh, princess. Now,” he smiles against your skin. To anyone looking you just look like a couple whispering, but it’s so much more, “what did Sehun say? Finger fuck you so hard you see stars?” You swallow, looking around the table. Sehun catches your eyes just a second, with a smirk, but you quickly look away. “Yeah, that was it, right?” He grins, before pulling back. He leans back in his chair with a smile, and positions his hand inside you in a way that makes you clench your thighs, but doesn’t move his fingers. You watch as his lips mouth the words ‘bounce on me’, and stare in disbelief. He couldn’t seriously be expecting you to really fuck his fingers, right?
When you don’t move right away, he raises a brow. Fuck, he is seriously expecting you to fuck his fingers. You groan to yourself. Very slowly, you lean back a bit in your chair, and lift your hips. Then you drop them back onto his fingers, now biting your lip because he reaches so much deeper than you do on yourself. Soon your self-consciousness slides off, as you rock your hips back and forward on his hand. Jongin smiles while taking another bite of food. Then, right as you drop down another time, he curls his fingers, making you hit a spot in yourself that has you moaning.
It’s quiet enough, but you quickly cough, to cover up the sound, and stuff some food into your mouth.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Jongdae’s girlfriend suddenly asks, reaching over the table to help you if necessary, but you just smile.
“Yes, I’m f- ah-ine.” Jongin chuckles as he pushes his thumb to your clit in the middle of your sentence. Sehun looks over too, a strange look on his face as he stares at the two of you for a second, but you don’t get the chance to even recover, because now his hand starts moving on it’s own again, sliding in and out of you while adding pressure to your clit. You squeeze his forearm, because a very familiar sensation starts building in your stomach and Jongin knows that you can’t come quietly. You can’t.
Though you look at him with begging eyes, he doesn’t hold his movements, and starts moving even faster, the lewd sounds of his fingers sliding in and out of you loud under the table but no one seems to hear over the background music and the sound of talking all around. You hold another whimper, and rock back against his hand desperately.
“Jongin,” you call quietly, “I’m gonna come.” This has to stop him, he can’t actually-
“Then come.” He just says, giving you a smirk and you don’t stop your mouth from falling open. With a few more swift moves of his fingers, you’re ready to fall. You don’t want to, and instead dig your nails into the table, not willing to let go because if you did, everyone would know. At your deviance, he just brings his other hand down though, and rubs your clit roughly.
You can’t hold it anymore, and double over, your walls clenching around his fingers with a high pitched moan that must have been heard across the table. “Mmh- f-fuck.” You swear, as his fingers fuck you through your orgasm and you think you’ve never been so embarrassed in your entire life, but can’t help your eyes from closing until Jongin pulls his fingers away from you.
Without any bit of shame, he looks at you while pulling his fingers from under the table and brings them up to his face. They shimmer in the light because of your juices, and he confidently puts his digits in his mouth, sucking them clean. When all is done and said, you finally look away from him, face definitely bright red and burning. Your dress has scooted all the way up to be bunched around your stomach from all the movement. Everyone at the table is looking at you two with equally embarrassed faces, and open mouths.
You’re lost at what to say, so you just start smoothing out your dress, and pulling it back over your thighs. Jongin smiles. “It was a pleasure, ladies and gents. But I seem to have some unfinished business at home, that I’d rather tend to right now.” With that, he stands up, pulling you along as you yelp. Your thighs are dripping, but he doesn’t let you even think about covering up. With a cocky grin, he walks off.
It takes a whole two second for everyone at the table to even realize the turn of events, which is as much time as you and Jongin need to have walked away from the table, ushering over a waiter. Jongin smiles politely at the poor man who doesn’t have a clue of what just went down. “The Lamborghini Aventador to the gate please, and bring our jackets.” The older man nods and rushes off, while Jongin hooks his arm with yours and pulls you up the stairs.
“Wh-” You start, only to stare in confusion. This doesn’t seem good for business. “Jongin.” You look at him with wide eyes. “What about doing business with Sehun?”
“Not to worry, princess.” He grins, fishing out his phone and opening the messages. “I always get what I want.” You try to read with but can’t really with how the screen is tilted away from you. The only thing you can read is Jongin’s response that he types back. ‘Only 76 million? Do it. Tell Papa Oh to tell his son that Vivian hotels has a new boss.’
This one is super duper late, but I promised to finish it and finally felt like writing some smut so here you gooo~ Again, thank you so much for getting this blog to 1500 followers. We’ve passed it a little while ago and I’m still shocked. Thank you for reading and all your support.
Saturday nights usually were reserved for date-night-ins, however, this time around you and Kai had just spent the entire Saturday together at a festival with the other members and some of the member’s girlfriends tagged along, as well. It was an eventful day, many laughs and smiles were shared. Stories were also exchanged between you and all the girlfriends, ranging from meaningless conversations to the special moments with your boyfriends. All in all, the sun eventually set and you all retreated back to your own homes to end the night, happily.
Upon returning home, you and Kai found yourselves on the carpeted floor of his apartment. Music was played in the background and the cool Saturday night air found its way in through the open balcony door. You two had just finished the recent episode of your favorite show, and were now just sitting together listening to the outdoor sounds streaming in.
“Jongin?”
“Hmm?” He hums up to you in response as his head was resting on your shoulder. Your fingers were absentmindedly twirling light circles over your boyfriend’s hand, eyes fixated on the slow motions of your fingers against his soft bronze skin.
“Mmm… what is dry humping?” you ask bluntly, and innocently. Your cheeks began to feel like hot coals were suddenly placed directly on them as you could feel Kai’s hand tense up at the question that you left lingering in the air. Jongin lifted his head, positioning himself to face you, he was studying your facial expression, slight confusion reflecting on his face. He had one arm rested around you as he looked at the side of your face, your eyes still fixated on your now unoccupied fingers.
“You want to know what?” He asks, with a slight laugh at the end to ease the tension. His tone seemed to be more amused at your question than anything else. You turned to him, “Is this funny?” You break into an embarrassed giggle and continued, “I am asking a real question, Jongin. I want to know what it is exactly. Is it fun? Do you like that stuff?” Your lack of knowledge in this area always hit a soft spot in Jongin’s heart. He loved how sweet and innocent you were, which always gave him a bit of excitement. Knowing he would basically be your first for everything in this department made him feel special. It special to know that you were willing to try these foreign adventures with him.
His arm that was wrapped around you pulled you in tighter, his hand massaging lightly into your shoulder. A light smile began to form on his face as his eyes formed into little crescents.
“So, hold on. You want to know what dry humping is, Y/N?”
“Yes. Like, what do you have to do for that?”
He shifts a bit, a light huff of breath escapes his lips, “Well…,” he pauses, scooting closer to you. He plants a soft and tender kiss on your burning cheek, then sealing the moment by turning your face to him and placed his lips on yours. The heat that was once in your rosey cheeks began to trickle down through every inch of your body. He smoothly pulls you up and over until you were straddling him. His hands find your waist, as his lips continue to melt with yours. The dizzying feeling only becoming stronger as Jongin’s thumbs rub a sweet line up and down your hips. Jongin always knew the special little spots on your body that would set you over the edge, the ones that would send pleasant chills down your spine, leaving you breathless.
Jongin breaks the spell, only to finally finish his sentence, “well, uhm, it’s basically like satisfying ourselves while rubbing against each other. Something like this.” He demonstrates by rolling his hips up against yours in two smooth motions, causing you to inhale sharply at the feeling. He chuckles at your reaction before leaning forward to place his lips on your neck. “Y/N, you’re so beautiful,” he says against your skin.
“Okay, now you try.” He says to you. Your eyes widen a bit, “M-my turn… now?” “Mhm, it takes two, jagi.” The familiar heat begins to backtrack and find its way back to your cheeks as you begin to move your hips in slight, subtle motions. “How’s this,” you ask shyly. You wanted to do it well enough for him, but something about the opened balcony door, the cool breeze streaming in and Jongin looking at you in that hypnotizing gaze made you feel ecstatic but shy.
With Jongin’s hands still on your waist, “here, try it like this,” he guides your hips into a slow grinding motion, and you begin to follow his lead, wrapping your arms around his neck. He smiles at your new found confidence, “you’re doing so good, babe.” His voice has become darker, with a bit of rasp lingering in his throat. His lips find your neck again as he whispers into your skin, between your back and forth motions and his hips rolling up and down, electricity and heat found its way coursing through your bones and straight to your center. Your eyes find Jongin’s and with shy embarrassment from the eye contact you lean your head down on his shoulder, bury your face in the crook of his neck. He chuckles and kisses the side of your head, “Y/N, you’re doing so good. Are you sure this is a first for you?” You laugh at his question, and look back into his eyes giving him a peck the lips.
Between each peck Jongin is telling you sweet words, “you’re so beautiful, Y/N… don’t be shy… god, you’re beautiful,” and with those words escaping your boyfriend’s lips you feel a rush of comfort and excitement. You trail your fingers down his sides, slipping them under Jongin’s shirt, his warm skin melting your cool fingertips. You pull up his shirt over his head, and lean down to plant soft kisses on his shoulder, following his collar bone. Jongin lets light sounds of pleasure escape his mouth with every touch and grind coming from you. With impatience he removes your shirt, kissing the valley between your breasts, leaving love bites. His lips against your skin had your head spinning, and your breath hitched. He guided you down until your back reached the carpet and he was hovering over you. Jongin’s hips were a glorious creation and he knew how to move them. With each roll of his hard groin into your center caused immense friction, sending you one step closer over the edge. Your panties were soaked, and sweat began to form on both of your foreheads as you begin to feel an immense tingle in your core. Jongin brought you to the edge and you were eternally grateful, floating in endless bliss.
He kissed your forehead before lifting you back up to sit on his lap. “So, how was that,” he asks with a smile stretched across his face. “The real question is, how was I?” You respond. “So. hot.” He says bluntly and you laugh, letting your head find the familiar spot in his neck. “Thank you,” you say into his neck. Jongin laughs at your sudden shyness, “You are so cute when you’re like this. I love you, Y/N!” He says hugging you tightly. You began tracing little circles on his arm as Jongin rubbed your back, eyes fixated on the circular motions of your fingers against Jongin’s skin. The sounds from outside and the cool Saturday night breeze intertwined together as they began to fill the apartment, while you and Jongin soaked it all up.
the man who spoke up first, as you came to learn the following days, was kim jongin, quite the very embodiment of devilry.
he was a dark angel—a demon, if you will. there was this air of mischief to him, this kittenish presence that seemed to withstand his ominous, yet admittedly ethereal, looks wherever he arrived. and there was this terrible emptiness to his eyes, too, and they seemed to be so full of it in the most devastatingly paradoxical way.
and for that you were deferent, maybe just a tiny bit afraid of him. not because of his needless-to-say nature—if you could handle your deceased great grandfather visiting your dreams and appointing you heir to a mansion that might just as well date back to the 1700s with a plethora of unnecessarily attractive men, you could handle a demon. a 196 year old demon at that, too. you were not concerned about who he was but rather how he came to be it.
you paid a far-from-short visit to the librery for this reason in one of those days. because, yes, the state had to posses it’s own library that so conveniently happened to have, really, not so up-to-date books about the creatures you now appeared to be living with (though they did have some accurate descriptions and crafty sketches!).

“nothing,” you answered, averting your eyes from his as much as you could. who knew what other abilities the guy could have with the inventory closing all of a sudden.
“nothing,” he echoed.
jongin took a second to smile—that couldn’t be too good. “and what is that book behind your back?” he beckoned at it with his chin, eyes a glint darker, if even possible.
“just something i found. while waiting for baekhyun,” you replied, tugging at the leather of its cover like a kitten.
a grin—far from the sentiment a grin would usually convey. he said, “well, that explains it—although it doesn’t. baekhyun and the others all left for the day, some “witch-mingling” though i would bet my coals they’ve gone to find some of that substance you humans call bubble tea.“
your pallor so big you could’ve been mistaken as one of the creatures yourself, you didn’t reply. you were inert.
maybe it was the fact that you’d just been caught lying to a demon, or maybe because it was jongin and none other, you had no response. not one.
“you’re not going to deny it, then,” he seemed to understand, pacing to and fro. “then will you explain to me what is that you’ve been looking for?”

“no.”
you said.
“no, i am not.”
if anything at all went through jongin’s mind, it was hard to decipher. he remained still, looking, though not quite so, at you. you shifted around, an awkward thing under his gaze.
what could he be thinking, really. you guessed no one could possibly know for sure, not even his closest friend—and for some outlandish reason you wanted to know. yearned for his thoughts and every little possibility contained within and just why? you couldn’t possibly have an answer to that, you simply and finally did.
and you wanted to ask him yourself, to appear even slightly less frivolous than before—all blatant and seeking to know that which he might well not wish for you to know. and because for some reason unknown you wanted him to tell you himself, to speak to you. you wanted to hear it from him, all he could willingly give, you did.
maybe because he was a demon and you couldn’t help your bones being ever curious you about how he came to fall upon such state.
or maybe because he was jongin and you wanted to know what made him jongin, what made jongin.
“come here,” he said, painful soft.
you joined him up on a great table that could have been a podium or a literal catwalk. you shuffled around in your dress (dresses from whichever time period they were had been the only wearable garments around, unsurprisingly).
the two of you sat there in silence, not an uncomfortable silence, but the silence one usually so craved for, undeniably. you could get used to it—
—yet you wanted to ask him still.
what should you properly begin with didn’t seem to come to mind so you simply ran your mouth in the silly only way you could.
“are coals, like, the currency of hell?”
jongin turned immediately to you with an expression. “what?”
you were squirmish under his eyes. “before, you said you would ‘bet your coals’ on the guys’ going out for bubble tea so i thought—”
you were interrupted by jongin laughing. jongin laughed, he did, and you thought that perhaps you’d never heard anything alike. not one thing that came so close to it, a novel creation of its own. and if it was—a new extraordinarily beautiful thing—and you were the only one to hear, were you really hearing it at all?
it lasted a few, inevitably managing to take ahold of your cheeks with a feisty rose.
“is that really all you caught from my exposing your lies?” he fought through a smile. a pretty one.
“lies! nonsense,” you feigned laughter. “it caught my attention, that’s all.”
he nodded a smile, skeptic. jongin waited for a moment, waited for something that did not come.
he sighed, “is that really all you have to ask?”
it wasn’t. but, it was, for now. it was much more than you could ever have expected from kim jongin. and his laughter—that sound, that memento, that piece of everything, was all you could hope to hear again.
so you replied, “no. it isn’t at all.” and to his waiting, you added, “that is, as long as you’re willing to answer.”
he stayed silent. then,
“you are not afraid of me.”
he said it as if he had just heard of it for the first time.
maybe he had.
