Fics that flow easily are THE BEST! I just finished my Christmas-y/coping with grief one and that flowed so easily for me and I was delighted. I've always said I do this for fun but writing is a hell of a hobby to do 'for fun' because it's so much damn work and so draining sometimes. Anyway, it's still fun for me for now and that honestly amazes me at this point.

Okay, which makes me blush more, writing or reading smut? Definitely writing it...especially if I'm at work 😅

this is a #discourse i think about far more than i should because as a southern european person i don't really see the clearly-mediterrean martells as POCs in the same way i don't see spanish or algerians as POCs so this entire narrative went far over my head and my brain automatically shuts down every time i see the whole 'dorne is fetishized bc they're POCs' discourse, since to me it depends in large part on a headcanon i just don't get. but like.. while i personally think that assuming everyone shares your (very anglo/american) take of fictional characters is a bit of a stretch, there's no denying GRRM *is* american and so are D&D so probably *their* interpretation of dorne is likely influenced by the same ~exotic POC narrative lots of tumblr meta writer see. so like, i can see why some people may argue that dorne is deliberately ~exoticised (is that even a word?) because if from their point of view they are, then it's likely a point of view GRRM shares, albeit unconsciously. i just refuse to think about it this entire thing because it's just pointless to me and i don't see a difference between GRRM making the greyjoys a bit of a raider stereotype and making dorne 'exotic land' stereotype, but i acknowledge that with the US's history of racial tension it may be a big deal for them all of this to say: i see why people overthink this but i refuse to even go there bye
