Okay, honestly, Ju Ji Hoon has popped up in my mind from time to time over the years because what can I say, I've always been a sucker for the pretties and if you come @ me about how Goong isn't one of the best kdramas, we're gonna have words.

@colourr-ing my babe, my darling, the Groff to my Manuel-Miranda, knows this thirst because she was one of the first persons I texted the moment I left the theatre.

I honestly forgot how much I thirsted for him.

Like, Antique was a gift coz it gave us all these babes and it still remains one of my favourite movies of all time. The food porn alone is just... I haven't watched it in a while but it was where I learnt about Croquembouche(???) sorry I know I am butchering it.

Kingdom - 2018

I don’t really have the patience to watch standard Korean drama series anymore since I find most of them (especially those romantic dramas) predictable and dragging. Most of them last an hour (and sometimes 1.5 hours⚠️) per episode for 16-20 episodes. I simply do not have the time to watch it all so when I saw that this had only 6 episodes on Netflix, I gave it a shot.

I’ll try not to mention any details to prevent spoilers so I’ll just state how I felt watching the series.

To be honest, episodes 1 & 2 completely bored me out. The first 45 minutes of both episodes were all talk and less action but I guess it was necessary to paint the story and get the viewers in the right mindset. However, episodes 3 onwards were really great for me as I saw a lot of action and I could see the story progress. I guess it’s just a matter of preference. Also, I might have expected a little too much than I should’ve since I thought this was like The Walking Dead level. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Towards the last episode, I was confused as I was nearing the end of the series but I felt that there’s so much more to expect. Then came an unexpected hanging ending. That’s when I found out that there’ll be a second season.

All in all, I think this is a great series. Very Game of Thrones season 7 finale-ish. And like in GoT, I cannot wait to watch the next episode. 🤩

So all throughout the dinner prep and meal you constantly asking what that 'very important' thing he had to share with you was

And every time he would tell you to wait a little bit more

Mainly because he needed a chance to talk himself into it again

And eventually he does say it

After you've finished eating and are letting the food settle

And it comes as a shock
