Dark - German time travel drama

This was recommended by a friend, it is dubbed in English and the only subtitles were for the written word.

It is a trip. And by trip, I mean we printed out family trees and constantly discussed the characters and who they were. We had to do this to make sense of things because it is seriously twisted and messed up.

I struggle with time travel as a concept when it circles around ... and around. I want it all to make sense and by the end they did a very good job of explain it all. But man, I spent most of the series confused and trying to connect the dots myself. But they tied it up so I didn't feel as though I wasted any time, so overall it was good.

The two main stars spent most of the series crying and they (Louis Hofmann, Lisa Vicari) had to have been exhausted.

So if that is your jam, you should give this a go but be prepared to watch it consecutively because the extra time will have you forgetting the facts/characters you just learned.

Dark, season 3 spoilers.

So the ending.

Like many others before me said, it is bittersweet and heartbreaking.

I’m kinda confused because of Adam/Eva storyline but it was amazing to watch how they were manipulating everyone around. So their nameless son had an affair with Agnes and is Tronte’s father??? Mind blowing 🤯

Katharina’s story was one of the saddest, I’m still shocked of the circumstances.

I’m not that much in love with Jonas/Martha relationship, but their story was sad nonetheless and ended beautifully in my opinion.

And I don't know why, but my heart belongs to Noah/Elisabeth (so sorry they were never meant to be) and Regina/Aleksander (I still have hope they will meet each other someday). I can’t help it. I mean... did you see the way Noah/Aleksander treated Elisabeth/Regina? ♥️

Also I’m a little bit disappointed that Hannah did get her happy ending, I believe she still has this craziness somewhere deep inside of her.

But it was so sweet for Peter to end up with Benni! And what the hell did happen with Torben’s eye? (was it a cat? 😁)

I used not to like Claudia, especially after the moment she killed her father, but Gosh... she is amazing and the only one with functioning brain.

And I think it’s safe to say that Ulrich deserves no rights as a husband in both worlds, so does Tronte. I’m kinda relieved that Nielsen men don’t exist anymore but I used to like Mikkel and alt Magnus.

Silja’s parentege was complete shock for me. But I think Bartosz and Silja were good even though we saw a little.

So young Noah killed his own father in the caves 😒

I just kinda needed to get it out of me so I can get over with it and function properly and maybe watch sth else, but who am I kidding, right? This show destroyed for me all the others.
