It's not finished unfortunately, but here's the opening of a little human high school AU I started in September 2022 (lol). I figure @bansheenolan's JoshNolan Weekend is a good reason to post something, finished or not!

"I'm not staring," Josh tells Tracy when she materialises next to him on the bleachers. Lacrosse practice has been going for twenty minutes and Josh has spent all of it splayed out, hood up, watching the field. Not that he could say what the majority of the team have been doing in that time; there's only one player he has his eyes on. "I didn't say you're staring, which you totally are, by the way, so don't even deny it. I said you're shaking." Without making eye contact, Josh bunches his jittery hands into his armpits. Fuck, he needs another hit.

Featuring Nolan being an anxious bean who feels like he only thrives on the lacrosse field, Josh trying to overcome his addiction issues, and them being the people they didn't know each other needed.
