My thoughts: Cracky premise but the execution is wonderful. That one comment that’s like I think Cyclops did feel like a kid of divorce. That is great, there should be more with that as a premise lmao.

hello, i hope this doesn't come off as weird but i am very sorry for your loss. he meant a lot to you and i understand how horrible it is to navigate grief for someone you idolized a lot, so im sending lots of love and strength in these times.. i am very glad you both got to meet and love each other like this and i hope your memories of him can always bring comfort 💛 its been lovely to learn about him and who he was through you. sending lots of love

hi! thank you so much. i know i'm a mess, but this is just... i don't know. yes, i idolized him for so long, but it was so much more than that. it never felt complicate to navigate at all, either. the second i met him, it was like love at first sight. maybe for the both of us, even. we hugged so many times, and i told my best friend that he gives the best hugs in the world (he does, indeed; i believe it to this day). we blew each other kisses and held hands. he noticed things when you never even said a word about them to him; he was just like that. so open and warm and exuberant.

it was so weird because it felt like there was never any sort of distance between us. meeting him changed my life and my perspective on him (and on myself, and everything, really). it was a complete dream and yet, it also reminded me that these people we love and cherish and idolize are just people like you and me, and if you treat them with kindness and respect and honesty, they meet you at eye-level. gavin did that for me. he always did that. he was the most respectful man i ever had the luck to meet.

i remember how warm his hands were. this is such an absurd detail, but i just remembered it. i keep remembering these little things about him. he was so funny, too! he was ridiculous, and generous, and beautiful. he told me, "till the next time, come back!" he always did that, and it always felt like there would be a next time. he called me baby, which is another thing he did, because he was so open and loving with everyone.

he was proud of me for getting through life even when i was going through it. he made sure to tell me that, repeatedly.

i am not saying i knew him the same way his friends and relatives did, but i knew him enough to make this the most heartbreaking loss. i knew his kindness and his heart. he was more than just an artist i admired.

it really took only a moment to be loved a whole life long.
