This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
(Joshua 1,8) As strangers to God, grace is the only need for humanity. As saved, children of God, and disciples of Jesus Christ, grace is still the greatest gift we can get. Day in and day out. The New Testament teaches us to know the law as the opposite of grace. We learn to know that the law is the ultimate symbol of the failure of humanity. But, we do also learn that, through Jesus Christ, at Calvary, we won an eternal victory over the death, the law, and anything else which creates distance between us and our infallible Father in heaven. Through His death we were reconciled with him. When we have confident in who we are in Him we may walk into the utter darkness without fear. As children of God and followers of Jesus Christ we can, boldly, look deeper into His book of law to learn to know Him better. When we dig into this "dark matter", the law will go from being a symbol of our inadequacies and death, to a declaration of love. At that time we'll grow in understanding of who He is and we'll experience that His word will not depart out of our mouth, and our way shall be prosperous, and we shall have good success! O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?! For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us! (2 Cor. 1,20)
