Zero’s Journey Dubbed Series

For anyone who cannot afford or doesn’t own Zero’s Journey, there is a YouTube series that dubs over the comic!!

Currently, the third/final video has not been released yet, but the uploader  commented that it may be finished this Holiday Season. The editing and background music are top quality, and the dubbing is good! Highly recommend watching, to anyone who hasn’t seen/read the comic yet!

I’ve been WAITING for someone to make this comic accessible to everyone. I’ll be sure to update this post if/when the final video gets made!

in zero's journey, what do you think of Jouelle?

Jouelle? Hmm…

She made a good first impression on me because of how kind she seems to be to animals(since apparently so many people in Christmas Town are assholes…) She did feed Zero and offer him shelter when he needed it, so I’m grateful she was introduced on a good note.

Her design isn’t bad, either. I like the way her hair swirls and she looks a lot like the other elves in Christmas Town. Her gown’s nice, it makes sense since she seems to bake a lot, and I like how her body is structured. It’s neat to see some more bigger elves in town. And that earring on her left ear? Rad.

The only thing off about Jouelle to me is…well, I personally find it questionable how, after she’s made it clear she’s aware Zero belongs in Halloween Town and that he’s lost, she decides to share their Christmas traditions instead of trying to bring him home right away. Take what you will, maybe her intent was to get him comfortable and introduce him to their world, but it didn’t seem necessary to bring up the implied supremacy of the elves…because that, to me, made it seem like she was just trying to “show off” their holiday once she acknowledged Zero was apart of Halloween?

Again, I stress that’s just how it seems to me. The idea that one of the holidays would believe they’re more popular than the other – more necessary, or more “relevant”, if you will – is a neat concept for the Nightmare world, and would make a great sequel story altogether. And I wouldn’t degrade Jouelle’s character for believing in something like that, but it seems a little “off” to bring it up to a dog that just needs to find his way home.

I can’t say Jouelle, to me, is going to be memorable in any way. But unless you count Howly, I feel she’s a great first “new” character to appear in the Nightmare franchise. (How sad is it we have a sequel & prequel game that didn’t give us any new characters besides bugs and a weapon?) She isn’t necessarily unlikable, she treats out beloved ghost pup well, so it gives me high hopes that the next new character that’ll be appearing in the series will at least be good:

she's like a mom that doesn't want you to move out, tbh. she's round and huggable but mom, please, i live in halloween. i just hope she doesn't turn into a twist villian- i know this isn't technically made by disney, but tnbc is a disney thing, and she was just possessive-ish enough that it makes me think of disney's bad twist-villian habit.

i love her design tho, 10/10 mom and frien
