The first issue in a new graphic novel series from Matt Braly, creator of the hit Disney animated show Amphibia. A witty and heroic journey into mysterious lands, this frog-themed fantasy is a blast for fans of the show and newcomers alike! Years after Anne saved Amphibia from the Core and returned to Earth, the Plantars now set sail to discover a new continent. But when their journey takes a perilous turn, they arrive on a mysterious island that holds more secrets than they bargained for.
Matt Braly shared some new photos of an almost final printing of The Art of Amphiba!
The book releases on March 25 2025. I really hope it sells well as with Gravity Falls' popularity rn post Book of Bill and Alex Hirsch wanting to do another GF book, there is no better chance we got of the GF artbook happening than rn by showing there is a demand with the Amphibia art book!
TokyoPop's Froschlurche
While I knew TP had wide german operations and I fact still exist as a regular publisher there today, I just discovered that Sgt. Frog was actually published by them in Germany. Lasting 16 Volumes from 2004-2011
These covers use the American Logo (As TokyoPop owned that one) but the Original Japanese Tankoban art instead of the edgier 2D stuff
As of now I do not have any German scans
Unlike in america, TokyoPop Germany still seems to own their version of Sgt. Frog. As the first 10 volumes were added to Kindle in 2019
Out this week: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: All Hail the Pumpkin King #1 (Tokyopop, $4.99):
Joshua Pruett continues the story of young Jack Skellington’s early days as Pumpkin King, as his first Halloween is approaching and he’s determined to prove himself worthy of the title. But then he makes the catastrophically bad decision to enlist a still-embittered Oogie Boogie to help.
See what else is coming to your local comic shop this week!
My first volume of the Lupin III manga arrived two days ago and I'm glad ♡
I skimmed a few pages before starting to read it and looks very cool. I hope I can get the remaining volumes next time
I don't have an opinion on the translation yet, I also just want to read it out of curiosity. It's my first time with physical version of the manga in my hand
