Jourdan's audition was so good, but she had changed music though. She was suppose to be my Eliana 2.0. | Don't you think that if season 3 happened today finale would be between Jaimie, Danny and Ricky Palomino (he was Mia's chosen one, ha I wonder what happened)

I absolutely loved Jourdan's audition and I had a completely different idea of her from that than what happened when she was on the show, and I'm still sad about it. 

Sabra probably still would have been the Brunette Darkhorse, but she would have gone home at top six or something since they tend to and the winner would have been Danny or Dominic, because you always have to have a hip-hop dancer in the finale unless it's season 11. 

(Lol clearly the producers didn't like Ricky as much as Mia did.)

Any idea where to find Jourdan's audition? I heard it was great but I've never been able to see it.

#61: "Disappear" (Jourdan/Marcquet contemporary), Top 18

I really did not want to put this dance so low. This really did have the potential to be one of my favorites, and I still really do love the choreography and the concept like I said before, but I just can't...connect to it at all, and therefore I keep forgetting that it ever happened. This is depressing.

Everything I said before still stands. Jourdan went in and out with performance all the time, and it kept pulling me out of the dance, and Marcquet didn't do much more than lift her, and I really would have liked to see him dance more since he's obviously contemporary trained. Even if Nigel thinks he isn't contemporary trained enough or whatever he was trying to say with that dumbass comment after this dance. 

I dunno. This dance just makes me feel odd when I watch it, like I can't settle what emotions I'm supposed to get out of it and my brain goes haywire trying to figure it out. I wish Marcquet had done this with Jessica instead, then maybe the judges would have liked it since their foxtrot apparently wasn't good enough for them.

#70: "Work Bitch Work" (Jourdan/Marcquet jazz), Top 20

My opinion on this dance actually hasn't changed at all since last time around. Marcquet is wearing the worst outfit in the world to dance in, Jourdan is terrible at keeping character, and this is really odd choreography where nobody had time to breathe, and all these things put together makes this routine look sloppier than it should be.

Upon further reflection, these two were a pretty mismatched pair to begin with, I'd say. Not that they're particularly bad together, but I would have liked to see both of them with other people. I really liked that week Marcquet and Jessica danced together, for instance, and I think Jourdan would have gone well with someone like Serge. Or maybe not, since I think Jourdan still is pretty immature in her performance, which is odd considering she was one of the oldest girls this season. 

But alas.

#78: "Pas de Deux - Black Swan" (Jacque/Jourdan ballet), Top 20 Showcase

So I guess Russian dude was tired of everyone's shit and didn't come back after this happened, and maybe the producers realized that giving people classical ballet to do in a week is a terrible idea, and that's why we got contemporary ballet the next time. I'm fine with this. 

So I realize now why I thought that Jourdan was doing better the first time around. I was confusing her and Jacque the entire dance. They don't look very much alike, but in that makeup and in the exact same outfit when I don't know who these contestants are yet, I was just totally confused, lmao. Now that I know for sure who is who, Jacque is very obviously the better ballerina here, or at least she's better at navigating that floor and not falling off of her pointe as much as poor Jourdan over there. 

On one hand, I hope this isn't the last we see of classical ballet on this show because it really is a treat when we get it, but on the other, it tends to never do anyone any favors. Hm.

i dont think jourdan would have been better in the choreo than jacque was. the main problem i believe was that with the rehearsals she can't work on pointe and she was probably not as good as she could have been especially since the stage isn't made for pointe. but jacque is better than jourdan anyway

I wanted to see Jourdan do it because I think "contemporary ballet" is more her thing than classical ballet, unlike Jacque. So I think she might have been able to put a flourish on it that I didn't see from Jacque, though Jacque would be technically better. Does that make sense?
