Gentle fingers pry and test, running lightly along cloth - and yet even in spite of the thin barrier between skin and skin, the sensation was electric. A soft - brief - chuckle slipped from between Thor’s lips, a content sigh escaping in its wake. 

“Well, that all depends,” he began, head tilting to look his beautiful companion in the eye, “Are you prepared for what would follow?” As though to answer the question unspoken, his own hand - rougher than her own - reached out and traced a line along her side. “I can assure you, that is a full day commitment that I am prepared to make.”

Visiting Mount Olympus was not what Thor had expected when his father told him he had duties for the young Prince, but he was not offended. He relished seeing other places - to meet other people. What the God of Thunder did not expect, however, was to come down with some sort of illness that had been spreading among the Olympians. To them, it was nothing more than an inconvenience - akin to the mortal cold. By contrast, he was stuck in a comfortable bed, graciously provided to him. He switched from too warm to too cold, the sweat never stopping, and from exhausted to desperate to move. 

He was starting to regret the visit.

The world seemed to be in a state of flux - radical tossing and turning - and that concerned the God of Thunder. He always hoped for the best in the realm of Midgard - at first, out of simple decency - and not, for the sake of his beloved wife and children. 

He had found himself taking more and more comfort from various, simple crafts - whittling, or forging. It was one of those days - where he toiled in the heat of a simple forge to produce... whatever he felt compelled to, really.

As he lowered the circlet into the water to cool, he felt a presence behind him - only a fraction of a moment before a hand rested lightly on his rear - and another hand slipped up his shirt. He smiled to himself contently, letting himself lean back ever so slightly.

“Good morning, dearest.”

They were making good progress on the stands. People always seem surprised when he was given a chance to act in a constructive, or creative, fashion. Perhaps it was because he often lacked the time - but he rather enjoyed it. Assembling tables and stands was a simple task, but pleasant in a mindless sort of way. 

After a while, however, he elected to leave the others to it - if only for a little - and move to stretch his legs. Perhaps Sam could do with some help. He wasn’t an exceptional baker - but he could certainly assist. He smiled apologetically as Sam bumped into him, arms moving to try and stabilize her - though she had it well under control.

“I was, but we were making good progress - I decided to come see if I could offer any aid.”

There was something pleasant about the comfort of his marriage to Thor. Yes, a great deal of the time they would jet off across the world to defeat the villain of the hour, or rescue some innocents - that did somewhat impede the comfort... But it was the moments between.

The thought of simply approaching his wife would behind, arms gently winding around her waist as he lips moved to the crook of her neck to press a soft kiss. He could take in that gentle scent of hers, the sensation of her in his arms. It was those moments he could live for - that made all the trouble in-between worthwhile. On top of that...

“There is a small problem,” he whispered, not bothering to move his lips far, “In that the items in my top drawer are going to expire.”
