Joy Operations issue 1 - I picked them up during Local Comic Shop Day a few weeks ago. Written by Brian Michael Bendis (co-creator of characters like Miles Morales, Riri Williams, Jessica Jones, Ronin, and so many more). Joy Operations is set in a futuristic dystopia in comparison to Ghost in the Shell meets Akira. The main character, Joy Corrigan, is an EN-VOI (Special Agent) of the Jonando Trust. Most of the cities around the world have been privately bought and owned and are all being run/themed the same. One day, a voice in her head tells her to betray the Trust. Issue 1 is narrative-driven with excellent artistry.
