A character redesign challenge I did from amino that turned into a whole AU.

Basically the whole story takes place in 1959 in the month's following Hanako's death. Nene's the first living person to make a wish in front of him and he has to figure out the hard way he's become a school wonder and what that means exactly. Events would follow the manga with a background storyline about the Red House actively being investigated following the twins' disappearance.

Bonus points if Nene doesn't realize Hanako's dead until the Misaki stairs. (Yako tells her she's being hypocritical as she's clinging to her dead 'boyfriend' as well and Nene's just floored. Really takes the wind out of Yako's monologue when she sees someone actively addressing their own grief in front of her)
