i know ive been super inactive for a while and tbh i dont really have an excuse . i have no motivation or interest in writing fanfics these days (OH NO THE FRONTAL LOBE IS DEVELOPING) .... but this is . a big blow to me i suppose
i've been a fan of om since early 2020 and even though im not an active fan, i thought this series would continue? which sounds selfish but they mean a whole lot to me lol i knew this day would come but now that its actually happening it feels sorta surreal
im gonna be honest, im not exactly sure what i wanna do with this blog .. it started out as an om x m!reader blog and its turned into tjis amalgamation of my interests which i apologise for 😭 i've thought ab starting up a new blog a lot of times but i've never gotten around to doing so since im so attached to this one but .. whats the point if i dont write anyways? i dont know . im still unsure ab a lot of things but .. rip om i'll always cherish u <3
Love confessions are so often treated as the end of a love story (as in, the moment that is the “getting together,” or what is traditionally considered a love story). Like, the moment the feelings are shared and reciprocated, the characters get together, and that is supposed to be the happy ending.
But the confession of feelings can really go at any point in the sequence.
It's okay to be ugly btw actually it's quite epic . you don't have to say these old dudes from saw aren't ugly it's not a bad thing to be it's just funny . like almost all of those guys are divorced and over 40 you don't have to say they're sexy it doesn't make it true and you can like a character and they can be ugly at the same time and that's fine . lol
Lol, ok watching KADO: The Right Answer on Crunchyroll and I did not realize the comments could only be 240 characters.
I have some feelings to get out and 240 characters is very much Not Enough, so mind the spoilers below the cut - I'm partway through ep10 at this point.
I think that "Choosing your career/job based on what you love" is kind of overrated. I mean I think its great to do so, but I also think there's nothing bad in choosing those things based on possible economic/gain growth, or even because its something your parents want for you. That is, if you think you can work a job you don't necessarily love and still be happy, i think then that's perfectly fine. I don't think its necessary for you to LOVE your job to be successful at it. For example, for most of my life I dreamed of being some type of artist and in high school i decided on animator. However I am currently studying International Business, which has almost nothing to do with art. When people learn this they often ask me if I'm unhappy, or if my parents forced me to this career. The answer is neither. It does looks strange, yes, and this combined to the stigma of the "starving artist" and what my Dad's job is, make people believe that it was my parents who decided for m, but in reality I decided to study this on my own. I like it, yes, I like it a lot, but so far I cant say I "love" it more than I love drawing. And I think that's ok. I'm happy, and its not like I'm completely giving up on drawing or even studying animation, its just that I decided that neither of these are going to be my bread and butter. It's not because I'm scared of not getting jobs, or anything, I just decided that studying a career in art is not for someone as undisciplined as me. Art is a very lax environment as far as I can tell, and I do not do well in them. I will admit that my parent's hopes and expectation for me did play a factor in choosing my career, as well as my own experiences abroad, but my parents, despite having told me that'd I'd starve as an artist, have always given me their unconditional support no matter what, and I don't care enough about what they may say that I let their comments dictate my decision. Basically, I think there's nothing wrong with working a job your don't love or studying something you don't love, just because of your parents expectations or because you may want a specific economical gain or stability from it (although one has to keep in mind that sometimes things don't work out like we wish they would) just as there is nothing wrong with choosing a career you absolutely love. They key, I think, is in knowing if you can, lets say, live with it. I know myself enough to confidently say that I don't care if I don't love or even like my job, I will still be happy with myself, and even with my job.
