So I went into the depths of Google and found some info that may, I say may as I’m not 100% sure, explain YouTube channels suddenly disappearing, going private or not available. It seems that YouTube is launching a paid service called YouTube Red that will allow ad-free streaming. With this upcoming launch YouTube creators have to sign to the new terms of agreement and if they don’t YouTube will make their content private. I’ve also read, but have conflicting info, that they will remove the videos of those who do not agree to the new terms also. I only know of a few sites so far that have been affected but I’m sure there are more out there and probably way more to come. I hope the sites I’m missing right now come back, but I would never tell a company they should sign to terms they don’t agree with, especially if it aversely affects them financially or the terms do not make sense. 

Disclaimer: This was just a summary I gathered from reading a few different articles. Please go search for yourselves and please enlighten me if I got something wrong. I don’t want to misinform anybody but felt I should at least write a short post about what I read. 

Edit: I’m curious now how these new terms affect international companies and viewing. 90% of the YouTube channels I watch are from Korea.
