God and the Absolute

The beauty of the Judeo-Christian scriptures, apologetics aside, is that they implicate “God” in all sorts of behavior, benevolent and petty, angry and loving, all meshed up into one (well, kind of).

Many folks want to affirm only the nice, sunshine and rainbow sounding stuff, and in doing so strip themselves from an actual portrait of the creative potency of the universe that yields all things.

The absolute isn’t what we tend to expect, but it’s certainly enough.

Judeo-Christian origin

I have never understood why European (Western) countries say they have Judeo-Christian origin. The only Jewish origin that Europe have was to persecute Jewish people - and sometimes tolerated them. OK the Old Testament is quite similar with the Tanakh, but that's it.

Is it a way to say to Jewish people that Western countries are no longer anti-Semitic ?

Know and recognize that your ancestors were African, and black, don't prevent to be racist.
