The Librarians of the Library
The Librarian: Quest for the Spear (2004)
The Librarians (2014-2018)
Librarian Birds!! (The Librarians, Avian AU)
SOOOOO what if the Librarians had wings? (A random AU my brain has been cooking up for weeks)((A lot of text btw))
The Birds of the Tree of Knowledge, (Avian AU)
——————————————
INTRO
What if the Librarians weren’t just humans, but were avian beings with wings, a permanent commitment to represent a bond of the Library. All Librarians, caretakers, and Guardians have bird wings, which are only visible to people who have committed to the library. They can represent certain things about a person (or just fit their ✨aesthetic✨)

COOL DIFFERENT THINGS STORY-WISE
*Tethered Librarians’ and Guardians’ bones get hollow and their bird-ness(?) is expanded, along with becoming immortal of course
*Librarians and Guardians get their wings after the 6 month trial period, and Caretakers get them once they commit to being caretakers, unless they were previously Librarians or Guardians.
*Slightly more vertical main library, so the wings are more useful when going through the shelves and corridors. Also a method of security, since the most valuable artifacts are kept on the highest levels, mostly unreachable to normal people who don’t have scaling equipment.
*People who have betrayed, given up, or otherwise dissociated themselves with the library will start molting their feathers, until their wings are completely gone.
*Wings are a method of determining who is a librarian, and they can only be seen by other chosen members of the Library. For example, Lysa Connor, and Charlie do not see Vikram’s wings (yet) since they have not yet received letters, and are not official parts of the library.
*Lysa, before getting her letter, does not believe that the wings are real, and instead thinks that Vikram is messing with her. However, since Connor is familiar with the librarian’s traditions, knows that the wings do exist.
*Flynn and the rest of the cast who wants to make many more bird puns

yayyy I love random notes app stuff but if anyone has good ideas to add or better birds for some of the characters than pls tell me. Also Erasmus and Deirdre are from “and the Pot of Gold” I added them because I was trying to list as many Librarians and Guardians as possible.
(Edit - @anxiouslybrainrotted reminded me that Ray exists, I just added him, ty)
(Edit 2 - Now that Lysa, Charlie, and Connor got letters, I added them to the lineup!!)
(Edit 3 - Added everyone’s last names, [that are known])
Judson showing up at County while Flynn is in Africa is honestly a little rude.
The Librarian: Quest for the Spear (2004) | The Librarians And the Disenchanted Forest (2018)
I'm sure this is just a continuity error but I prefer to think that Sarina is special 💖💖
So I'm reading The Librarians and the Lost Lamp by Greg Cox, and it's a tie-in novel so like, my expectations were low to begin with and I'm largely enjoying myself, but then we get Flynn remembering that Judson tested him using literally THE most famous Puck quote in existence and I just can't help going, "if that's the fucking test, I should be like, the uber librarian because if I can't finish 'if we shadows have offended' then someone needs to take me to the hospital because I've sustained a massive blow to the head."
And I know, I KNOW that the book is aimed at the lowest common denominator, and I shouldn't get thrown when that becomes apparent, but COME ON. At least pick somethig from the quartet scene or a Titania section. Still pretty well known, but just a skooch less obvious...
Fanart
I did fanart of @Sansfromundertale(Cory) ‘s oc and his boyfriend’s oc! And this is how it came out! They made it their current profile and I’m screaming and crying lol.
And there you have it folks. Evidence lol. I literally drew it only this morning. It did take me a couple hours.
