Thanks! I know, I've been going back and forth about the Square Up thing...I guess in the end it's an added benefit in increasing payment options with no real negatives. All this new-fangled tech stuff the youngsters have nowadays! [shakes fist] :)

I intended to be a smartass on these, but actually found them very thoughtful so I tried to act accordingly.  Thanks Don!

1. Where is your favorite small town and why?  As an introvert who loves the outdoors and loves photography, I prefer small towns to big ones and open spaces to closed ones.  I consider myself VERY blessed to call two such places my favorites - one a small town (pop ~20,000) along the ocean north of Boston and the other an even smaller town (pop ~2,000) near Mount/Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire.

2. Could you solve simultaneous linear equations right now, if asked?  In 4th grade I missed several weeks of school because of an extended summer vacation and missed long division as a result. To not fall too far behind I taught myself how to do long division in my head and ended up the year ahead of the class.  The following year my teacher sat me in the hallway with the Teacher's Edition for 5th, 6th and 7th grade math which I taught myself.  So yes, I could probably do a simultaneous linear equation right now.  In my head.  Note: my math  skills came to an abrupt end in pre-Calc. 3. Where is the weirdest place you’ve fallen asleep? Not passed out. Fallen asleep.  Since I was very young I've been able to fall asleep very quickly and very easily.  Not entirely "weird" but I can remember falling asleep in the middle of a college party being held in a room I shared with two other guys.  I wasn't drinking that night, but I fell asleep with about 20 people in the room partying and blasting music. 4. What’s your favorite nonsexual position?  Second base?  Um, I am comfortable enough in my own skin to know my favorite position is behind a camera. 5. What was the last situation or circumstance that made you cry for no apparent reason?  Most of the reasons I can remember crying were caused by thinking about the fragility of my own or my children's lives. Thoughts of my children growing up and no longer needing me is a close second (I'm looking at YOU Toy Story 3...). 6. Have you ever had an out-of-body experience and if so, what was it like?  More often than I probably take note of any more.  Typically it's fleeting (seconds) and a sense of having thought without form.  You feel like you're not inside your body at that moment, although you're still able to reason (and think "hey this is weird"). While I am not an overly religious person, I do believe in a power or energy contained within us (some people call it soul or spirit, I like "energy").  I think most of us only scratch the surface of what our minds and bodies are able to do and the ability for that energy to survive in some state beyond the ability of our bodies to function is a very real possibility. Like an ember that stays hot well after a fire is extinguished.  Ghosts, reincarnation, ESP, etc are all just ways to try to make sense of that possibility. 7. Describe something you’ve done for money but regretted.  Any time I accept money from someone who I believe (rightly or wrongly) to need the money more than me I feel VERY guilty.  Lately this has manifest with my photography business (I am, admittedly, a horrible businessperson).  I have trouble accepting payment from folks when I know money for them is really tight.   8. What is your favorite non-human smell and sound?  I love the smell of a crisp fall day and of freshly cut grass.  And pies...OMGyes pies.  I love the sound of quiet.  After a long day of work and after the kids are in bed, I love the sound of absolutely nothing.  It is amazing how much richer and deeper the sound of nothing is up in the woods too... 9. What do you have in your bag or wallet right now that you didn’t know was there?  Behind my license I just found a photo of myself with my wife, kids and dog, except there are only two kids, and its a different dog.  The picture was taken in 2005. 10. What is your favorite season and seasoning?   There is nothing quite like fall in New England.  And I am a sucker for food of any origin that is spicy.  The hotter, the better. 11. Condom and condiment?  I typically leave my hot dog ungarnished.

11.  My grandfather used to say that every person holds something inside them you can learn from it's just up to you to find out what that is.  Have you learned any life lessons from an unexpected source that have stayed with you?
