It's a Stranger Things x Riverdale crossover AU. The only thing related to ST is, Max and Billy (and family), move to Riverdale instead of Hawkins, Indiana.

Max would probably only get "screen-time" or any showing of what platform is being used for the story; (show, fanfiction).

Billy is about 17 and Betty is (assuming for the first season) 16. I don't know anyway the story would play out, but due to YouTube being like "yeet" and shipping it why not?

Also, due to YouTube, either before Betty and he gets together Cheryl and Billy will either hook-up or date for a while before breaking up. Cheryl discovering she much prefers Toni over him, and Billy liking Betty.

Instead of Jarchie, let's talk about Ace Jughead. In the comics he's ace, so; he's gonna be ace in this au. This is during the first season. Jughead will be single during the whole first 2 seasons and maybe something happening in the 3rd season. But aside from that, Betty will be with Billy, Archie with Veronica, and Jughead with his food.

Ok, now into the head cannons.

The au takes place in season 1

Billy, Max, and the parents move to Riverdale instead of Hawkins

Max will get limited screentime, as in not in every episode. The possibility of her being friends with the ST squad is if they just go to the same school. Everyone in the gang is non-supernatural, and just they're, BFFs.

Billy at some point in early episodes of season one learns of the Southside Serpents. He, of course, tries to join immediately and is successful, taking all the courses (?) and getting his tattoo. He keeps it down-low and pretends to be a jock. He brings news of what's going on back to the Serpents.

Of course, when the serpents come to the school, Billy is fast to quit the team.

During the big ol' 'Betty's secret is low key out' party, this is when the two meet.

I figured out a way to save Riverdale, since it actually had promise at first

End this season with the school year ending then do a time jump completely skipping Junior year

When it comes back to Senior year, everyone is separated basically

None of the couples are together and neither of the friends really

Archie has gotten closer with the football guys and is just pure jock now, he hasn’t touched his guitar in months

Veronica is still basically the queen B, hanging out mainly with Cheryl and Josie except she is a lot more like she was in New York, a lot bitchier especially now that her parents have money again and she is taking a hand in the family business

Betty is dating Reggie Mantle and has tried to let herself go more to stop being the perfect girl next store though she still has yet to see a therapist about her issues because she is afraid of spilling the beans about that night which causes her to end up having more issues and episodes ((I’m not super committed to Betty storyline in this so suggestions maybe?))

Reggie is actually really supportive of Betty and helps her work through her episodes and breakdowns

Even when the 3 end up at a party together they ignore each other

Jughead has gotten away from the serpents, after realizing you can’t really change a gang, and is officially a loner but it’s helped him to mellow out a lot more and realize some things about himself and his sexuality

That night in junior year that separated them, the night they all agreed to keep the secret about what really happened that night

The night the covered up Ethel Mugg’s death

But secrets don’t stay secret for long

Jughead and Asexuality: a thought

I completely stand by the idea that Jughead should be asexual. I hope as much as the next person that we finally have some asexual representation in popular media. However, I hope the creators do research to understand that the ace spectrum is different than aro spectrum. That asexuality means a lot of different things. I want the creators to still explore the idea of Jughead having a healthy romantic relationship in tandem with his sexuality because, not only will it give some ace representation, but it will further challenge the Hollywood ideas that “ace = broken” and that “sex = views”. I want to see Jug stay in a healthy relationship that accepts the idea that sex is off the table, because that is still an Ace value.

Jughead is touch repulsed, not interested in boys, girls, or anyone else, and broke a machine meant to find someone’s "true love” or whatever, dare I say he’s (aromantic and) asexual?

But think just how revolutionary the Betty-Jughead relationship would be if it was a purely platonic thing. Like, yes, these two are super perfect as a duo working together, but they don’t feel any attraction to each other and are just two amazing friends. I understand that Riverdale wants to steer into the teen drama cliches at every pass, but just once subvert something and keep one of the most basic tenants of the Jughead character intact.

Besides, we all know Betty belongs with Veronica.

concept: when reggie is being an asshole and is saying that archie and jughead killed jason together and they deny it, he goes on to say that they’re probably fucking each other too.

jughead and archie look at each other and burst out laughing (like they used to) because “jughead? fucking someone?” and they remember when he first came out as ace to archie. all is well in that moment.
