Today is day 5 of this and I woke up feeling dizzy... 

The past two days I've been in kinda a bad mood but it's just the detox. I feel bad about being in a crap mood but oh well... I don't wanna give this up yet. I kinda cheated yesterday and ate some cake but other that that I've been drinking juices and eating almonds. 

I did start at 175 lbs at day one and I'm waiting to weigh myself of day 10. It most likely won't be that big of a difference but meh. I have been feeling lighter. I know that every time I ate a burger or fries or had a frappe from McDonalds I felt like shit. They taste amazing, no doubt about it, but i felt hungry soon after and feeling horrible. I haven't had that feeling in a while and it feels amazing. 

My mom is making me eat something today because I feel dizzy so I'm eating ceviche, which is a cooked bass cocktail. Fish, lemon, onion, tomato, cilantro and green peppers. 

My mom on the other hand has been feeling great and energized every day. She fit into a pair of jeans that weren't closing any more yesterday so she was very proud of that. :) My mom says my skin looks better and that she thinks our faces do look a tiny bit thinner. Of course, it's been 4 full days so maybe we're just getting confident?

Anyway, we have gotten more aware of our food choices this way. My mom makes my dad eat salads, or ceviche or pozole verde. 

It's been 4 full days and I'm looking forward to the rest of this.

I woke up this morning, drank a bit of water with lemon. Then drank my breakfast juice. I forgot how much I hated celery... Anyway, I drank the cup and then got my second cup ready for school. Surprisingly, I was super full all throughout my morning. 

I drank most of the juice for lunch and again felt super full. 

I'm home now and it sucks bc mom is making my dad caldo de pollo and I really wanna eat some of it but NO. 

Anyway, we made another juice for dinner and omfg she put grapefruit in it this time and it's the worst.

I need to avoid celery, grapefruit, radishes and beets. They're the worst omg Anything else goes. 

Almost forgot, I weighed myself this morning and turns out I weigh 175. It's just weird to me because in August, I weighed 185. Then again, we ate from 7/11 every day two of those quarter lb hot dogs + condiments... Summer Band is the worst sometimes.

I talked to my mom about juicing and the benefits and she's completely on board with this. We came home and we talked to my dad and he's actually pretty into it. Although I don't think he's gonna do it as rigorously as my mom and me, I think he will try it.

Tomorrow when I come home from school will be my day 1.

We don't really have anything to juice so I can't have juice for breakfast or lunch. I'll have my last school meal tomorrow.

We're gonna do this for ten days. After the ten days, we're gonna see how we feel and how we have reacted. Tomorrow, we're gonna take pictures and weigh ourselves. I'm going to keep checking up on myself every ten days to see my progress.

I'll do it for a month, then if the progress is still good, I'll continue on to my second month. By then, I'll incorporate food into my diet, mainly vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, fish and chicken. 

I seriously cannot wait to get to the end of the ten days to see how well I've reacted to it and how well I'll fit into my ugly concert band dress. Every year I've worn it, I've always been terrified I won't be able to zip it up or that it'll bust open, just like it did my freshman year. 

I'm so glad I watched the movie because now I have a real plan of action.

I'll post my stats tomorrow. I hope I can find my measuring tape...
