Sceptile
Known to some as guardians of the forest, Sceptile are rare though powerful creatures who fiercely defend their territory. They feed on both small and large prey, but also gather energy through photosynthesis. While slower than their juvenile relatives, they are still fast enough to chase down most foes.
Inktober Day 29: Favorite Pokemon #3, Sceptile!
Many starter pokemon have been on this list, but at last we come to my favorite one overall, generation 3′s grass starter, Sceptile. My starter of choice in my Alpha Sappire playthrough, Sceptile is pretty unique for being a grass type that plays as an offensive speedster, in contrast to the bulky supporter rolls you see with most other grass types. This plant lizard has a vast movepool in both its physical and special attacks, allowing it to have some great type coverage. What’s more, its mega evolution allows Sceptile to supercharge its offensive prowess, whilst also gaining the dragon type (side note, grass and dragon happen to be my two favorite types). But my favorite attribute about Sceptile would have to be its design. Having a pokemon based off of a leaf-tiled gecko (geckos being my favorite animals) was already going to appeal to me, but giving it bladed leaves on its arms and having it run in a dinosaur-like posture? Yeah, that’s a recipe for a pokemon I’m going to love.
I did this Sceptile sketch a while back!! Here he is, the the green reptile we all love (mostly).
and yes that’s his japanese name stop i just love pokemon
