A few weeks back I got this wonderful Reyes Vidal & Sirius Ryder themed present from someone who is my oldest fandom friend and a woman and writer who I greatly look up to - @juleshawke .

I've been going through some tough times lately with my mother's heath etc, and getting a handmade necklace that she made based upon my fReyder fic Sweet Little Lies brought tears to my eyes. The Anubis head, the Bluebird, the hearts, the galaxy, and the bullets with the all seeing eye were perfect.

I would guess that the only time they aren’t in FTL is when they’re orbiting a planet or docking - otherwise it would take them forever to get anywhere. If they’re in orbit I would assume they’d be travelling at a similar speed to the ISS - five miles per second with a complete orbit every 90 minutes on an Earth size planet. I haven’t checked the codex or wiki so don’t know if you’d find anything in there. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if they use FTL travel while they’re within a star system, but mainly because Normandy’s stealth drive doesn’t work at FTL. Other than that I guess they might travel at FTL most of the time, though not necessarily at maximum burn. There’s also the static electrical charge the drive core builds up at FTL that has to be discharged regularly that probably shouldn’t be forgotten. 

I guess in the end it’s all up to headcanon, lol.

@juleshawke Woohoo. I’m not sure if I’ll end up getting it either. But it’s awesome to know that if we do, we can play together. (I’m not a MP fan at all - I’ve had so many bad experiences)

Honestly, it does make sense for people to have survived. Not only would their be kinetic barriers, but there would be bunkers etc.
