i saw him on the dorm members post and he sounds like a really fun character! his design is also v pretty too

- 100% of one those people who assumes he knows how the play the lute and gets confused when he says he cant. and then he forgets that he cant play the lute the moment he leaves bellus’s field of vision for longer than 5 minutes
- may unintentionally stress lute out since this boys v into the concept of romance so the moment he finds out about vice dorm leader tink getting mysterious gifts and letters, hes jumping onto that and talking about it 24/7. he also wakes up at sunrise naturally so depending on how long it takes for bellus to get bored of trying to figure out tinks ~mysterious admirer~, theres a good chance he might accidentally find lute leaving gifts
- if he does find out, bellus does offer to give advice. though considering bellus and the other mermaids are known for pulling tricks and that even if bellus is being genuine he has a naive concept of love, it probably isnt in lute’s best interest to listen to him. outside of that, he does treat the whole situation like a soap opera
- other than the tink situation, he takes notice of lute at the piracticus parties mostly due to lute’s singing and dancing. if lutes in the nrc music club like bellus is, he likely tries to get lute to share his dance moves tm
- has read lute’s diary at least once and was annoyed it didnt really have anything hidden tm. and then he found out you can just ask lute to read it and he’ll let you and he was v disappointed his overcomplicated plan to sneak it out wasnt even worth it
- meris also probably used lute as a distraction for a prank without telling him whats happening despite the fact lute also likes pranks. smh meri
- after reading his diary and paying more attention to lute afterwards, he probably figured out about the amnesia if it isnt something that the rest of the dorm already knows
- tbh the amnesia part is what gets meris attention since hes just a v curious boy and he’ll end up hunting down lute after classes and asking him a million questions about it. though since meri is v blunt and doesnt really have... tact he’d probably come off as a dick unintentionally. and then not understand why lutes upset at some of the things he says. even if he does he’ll still follow after lute to ask him any questions he thinks of about it until hes either told to stop by conrad/tink/kenn or the concept of it all loses its luster
- meri has mixed thoughts on him because on one hand, willing accomplice to pranks if he asks nice enough and on the other hand, hes never really been drawn to levelheaded people so whatever relationship they have would really depend on their first interaction
- makes too many jokes about lute and lutes. he really wants lute to learn how to play one-
- so. caspian is the most introverted of the group and doesnt go out of his way to talk to people he doesnt know. but he does enjoy people watching. and thats what would make him pay attention to lute because lute has a v nice face
- he also likes to doodle people regardless on if they talk much so caspian probably has a few doodles of lute, mostly focusing on his hair. though ever since hes come to the mainland hes realized that people here dont really appreciate that as much as mermaids do so its unlikely he’d show lute them unless lute caught caspian in the act and asked him about it
- thinks lutes a good boy tm. caspian would take a lot of notice of how lutes personality is and lowkey be reminded of kenn and thats enough for him to respect him more than other dorm members
- if lute ever approaches him caspian’d be willing to play instruments with him. and then is :o when he finds out he cant play the lute. Will offer to teach him since he thinks it’d make sense for him to learn but doesnt push it
- since hes the one expected to reel in bellus & meri, one of them bothering lute is what’d make him pay attention to lute outside of the piraticus parties. from there on he’d finally pay more attention to the fact that lute’s the dorm mom and that’d get his respect & appreciation since he knows taking care of others can be a pain in the ass if those people are v rowdy like bellus & meri. so lute pretty much gets free pass to get kenn to deal with the two mermaids whenever he needs it (or just wants to get them out the room-)
- notices the heart quirk and thinks its amusing to witness, especially whenever tinks around. he thinks its also pretty inconvenient to have if lute ever has to barter or something though that wouldnt stop kenn from using that to his advantage he wanted to trade some treasure or something else for other things
- does think lutes dancing and musical abilities are fun to see and listen to! hes also willing to shut up the others when they keep bringing up the instrument lutes, like guys that stopped being funny before even the first time you tried making that joke, stop talking-
- ultimately his feelings towards lute can be summed up in a respectful head nod whenever they see each other across the hall
