An easy double clear in the 1.10m speed class today gave us 2nd place and 1.10m Champion for The weekend. I could not have asked for a better first jumper show of the year with Cody. I just adore this little horse of mine... accidentally went from 3' to 4' (instead of 3'6) and he just takes it all in stride even though I buried him under the fence. We haven't jumped over 3' since June and Cody hasn't done a 4' fence since last year (been quite a bit longer than that for me), and he's all sorts of eager when the fences go up. Great start to my birthday weekend with Codes this evening... he was moderately psychotic but sooooo incredibly on once we got into the show ring, typical it seems 😂 won the 1.10m 2B and 3rd in the 2C because I took one too many half halts 🤦🏻‍♀️ but Cody earned his unicorn status again when he saved both of our asses (and left the rails up) when one of my reins slipped out of my hand just before an oxer.
