I just adore this little horse of mine... accidentally went from 3' to 4' (instead of 3'6) and he just takes it all in stride even though I buried him under the fence. We haven't jumped over 3' since June and Cody hasn't done a 4' fence since last year (been quite a bit longer than that for me), and he's all sorts of eager when the fences go up. Dingbat says he needs more treats because he was foot perfect this evening.... I left work late enough I was debating just doing a quick lunge, but decided to do a quick flat when I heard he was spooking at the new brush boxes. Well the quick flat turned into jumping the new brush boxes, which turned into a quick jump school. Foot perfect with 3'-3'5 at angles, long approaches, and short turns, and I even got a beautiful, round flying change without asking. This was basically our jump session today... I ask, he does with his little ears pricked happy as can be, even when I let him get under a 3'9ish vertical. Codes learned the other side of ponying yesterday... being the pony horse. He was very upset I wouldn't let him bite Romeo to show Romeo that he was out of line.
