❓Is (Our) Ciel really evil? Or is it just a front or a manifestation of his 'hatred' for ones who hurt him? Additionally, he's got a demon for a parent figure/guardian. But deep inside or originally is he a good person?

Yana-san has given us insight into this with some old tweets. Basically, our earl has a good side, but he’s got a pretty wide dark or evil streak, which is typical of the Phantomhive line. Sebastian has merely influenced him and encouraged his greed, hatred, etc.

Whoever raises you influences your personality and how you behave. So, Sebastian is influential to our earl… just like Yana-san says Tanaka was extremely influential to Vincent…. 👀 🤔

Ch177, Miniature flashbacks

Looks like we will get more of Bard’s backstory in little snippets while he sleeps.

It’s an interesting way to keep going back to his wartime experiences, and it works well for a character who’s dealing with PTSD because of those very experiences.

We also get more of him thinking about the life he’s left behind… or the family that left him behind.

Apparently, the “military style training” (the beat-down Sebastian gave him) wasn’t quite enough. 😆 Bard is still behaving like an ass.
