can't get gojo + older!reader scenarios out of my head i require medical intervention

teenage satoru who has a little crush on one of the kyoto school teachers, always begging for reader to come teach in tokyo so he can admire him daily... the sister school event is his favourite part of the year because he can talk to you and show off how much cooler he is than your students, trying to bribe you with pouts and his favourite candy into transferring. it doesn't work but he gets a soft chuckle and head pats out of it so he never stops trying. fast forward to when he himself is a teacher and with all the drama surrounding the king of curses you come out of teaching retirement/being a 9-5 sorcerer to join him in tokyo (at last!! his dream come true!!!!) and. oh god. the crush is back with a vengeance. maybe it never left. how are you even hotter now??? the silver through your temples and the broadness of your chest has him sweating and giggling nervously whenever you come close because holy shit you could probably still bench him and also you smell good and he keeps tripping up by calling you sensei and your smile is so fond and it makes the crow's feet by your eyes more visible and he really needs a paper bag because he's so in love he can't breathe.

also he fantasises about calling someone daddy in bed and the man in his head looks a lot like you, but that's neither here nor there.

A few months ago I finally learned how to properly use a semicolon (;) only to learn that many people HATE the use of semicolons—even correct uses—in writing for some reason. I didn't expect it would be so divisive!

So I ask you readers and especially writers:

Do you like semicolons?

Yes and I know how to use them

Yes but I don't actually know how to use them

No and I don't know how to use them

No but I know how to use them but choose not to

Only in some cases (please explain)

I would also be curious to hear any reasoning! So far I've seen reasons for not using it varying from "it's pretentious", to "it's pointless", to "most readers won't understand it", to "it's overused by AI (much like the em dash)" and so on. Many who like it just enjoy what it can do for a sentence if you know where it goes.

Okay, can I be honest? I'm so so so tired of some of y'all parroting gamer bro talking points when it comes to Taash and pretending that you're being progressive. I am so tired of the "why didn't they use a different term for nonbinary? It's so cringe to hear them say that! They should have made up a new word! They shouldn't make their identity so on the nose and in your face."

Not a single person has complained that the terms man, woman, male, female, etc. all exist in this world. Why should the writers have to dress up and make subtle and palatable the existence of trans and nonbinary people when other genders can be discussed in real world terms?

Transphobia is rampant on a global scale right now, not to mention in the very country part of Bioware is based in which is seeing a huge rise in fascism and anti-trans and anti-nonbinary laws and public opinion. What's wrong with trans and nonbinary writers, developers, VAs, etc. (many of which have been subject to transphobia fromthis very fandom) making it blatant and clear that nonbinary people exist and won't be made subtle and quiet and hidden in concealing terms to make people comfortable?

You don't have to like it or see it as the representation you personally need, but seeing a game that isn't afraid to say "Hey, we are part of the world and we exist and we're not some subtle little thing that only exists in certain cultures and can only be discussed in made up Dragon Age words that no one has ever heard of" is actually so sick and refreshing.

So yesterday, I learned that my critter color wheel art was stolen and turned into fan merch. Which is a new experience for me.

On one hand, eww, art thieves, on the other, can’t believe my art is popular enough FOR this kind of thievery. Kinda insane honestly.

Side note: While this is my art, only Mob can do something about the listing since the Smiling Critters IP belong to them. Though due to the item being made and shipped in Russia, there’s a high possibility that a cease and desist will not get it taken down.

ngl i really shot myself in the foot with Closed In and Terrified. The fic got SO MUCH attention and I don't know how to handle that and I was also working on other stuff and now I'm Convinced that like. Chapter 4 was NOT worth the wait lol. Love getting distracted by serotonin and then coming back and being like "um actually no this is awful? what if I walk into the ocean instead." so like. That's fun. anyway read it here i guess

EDIT: for the record i do love the fic don't get me wrong. I hit post and then realized that this post makes it seem like i hate it. I Don't. I'm just 90% anxiety and 10% caffeine and get stuck in my own head lol

what gets me the most about till is that we never see his side of the story, at least not as in depth. it may seem limiting, but in a way, till was loved enough that there could be a story about him. someone always stayed by his side long enough to know him, and to talk about till. Otherwise we wouldn’t really know him other than how the aliens viewed him, and this makes me so emotional
