They were still in the tail end of the recent heat wave and the sun still beat down relentlessly. It was days like these that Aaliyah was thankful for the river and the shade the tree's of it's banks provided. But the brunette was not about to let the heat keep her from enjoying her time by the river, and it seemed the same was true for June Whitley. Aaliyah had met the writer a few times before, even promising her to help with her research for her novel. From what Aly could gather; she was a warm, bright person who loves what she does. Motioning for the other woman to take a seat against the tree beside her, Aaliyah reached a hand out for her notebook, excited to see what kind of things run through the heads of writers.
