What are your thoughts on having a 'junk drawer'? I live in a small apartment with not much storage space. Some things, I'm not sure where to put them so for now they all live in the bottom drawer of the end table. My thinking is, at least this way they're not out visibly cluttering up a surface.

I’m actually (surprisingly) not opposed to junk drawers! When you’re dealing with limited storage space, sometimes you need to put a bunch of different stuff together. No big deal. The important thing, though, is to make sure what’s in the drawer is stuff you need and want to keep, and that all the items have been carefully considered, and there’s no other/better place to store them. Don’t just chuck random shit in there so you don’t have to deal with it, and it’s fine. Every so often, go through and sort and clean it out so it doesn’t accumulate every bit of household detritus.
