I’m proud to say that a copy of my lil’ near-future horror novel has been accepted into Toronto’s own Merril Collection. Given that they have a first edition Bram Stoker’s Dracula, among many other rare texts, I reckon it’s in good company!
While I’m certainly pleased for JUNKYARD LEOPARD to be included in this list of recommended books, I couldn’t help taking an extra bit of joy from discovering there is a book called OTTAWA: GATEWAY TO CARP (Carp being my hometown). It’s about Canadian comedy brewing in the nation’s capital and the title alone makes me laugh, since I spent my teens and early twenties doing everything I could to go in the opposite direction, to get away from Carp and tunnel deeply into downtown Ottawa.
Someone asked me if I dedicated Junkyard Leopard to my parents. No, but I can't say as I have any regrets.
