Junliet is iconic. Yes the program is a hot mess but he sells it, it works cause its HIM. It's not a copy cat from other skaters so I dont understand why there are people comparing.
I don't understand why people compare when it's obvious that the skaters approach a piece of music from different directions, but oh well we live in that society
Friendly reminder
Number of competitions Junhwan has competede at: four
Number of medals Junhwan has: four
JUNHWAN IS FIVE FOR FIVE!!!!!
Grand Prix of Helsinki Men’s FS Results
Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN) - 297.12 (New WR)
Michal Brezina (CZE) - 257.98
Jun-Hwan Cha (KOR) - 243.19
I can’t believe that Yuzu destroyed the silver curse by setting three new WRs. At least they are back where they belong haha.
Michal qualified for the Finals and I am very proud of him for doing that with two great skates.
And Jun-Hwan. Ahhh!! He is very much in the running for the Finals now. God, this boy is four for four now. He has literally placed in every single competition he’s been in this season. That’s crazy.
This was so far from my prediction, but I can’t say I am too dissatidfied. It was a good competition overall, even if both Boyang and Mikhail had a lot of issues. I believe in both of them to come back stronger :D
HERE HE IS! JUNHWAN! We just had SC so i hope he’s well rested.
Damn! I think that’s the best salchow we’ve seen from him! A little stumble on the combo but it’s okay! He did two assignments in a row and he did it well! Shakdks his fans are so nice. I really regret not getting tickets.
ACI18 Men’s SP Group 3
Junhwan Cha (KOR) - omg omg OMG omg omg HE HaS IMPROVED SO MUCH WHAT THE HECK! And the triple lutz triple loop????? Omg?????? This program was amazing! Technically and artistically! What an amazing performance!!! Aaaaahhhhh
Harry Mattick (GBR) - not a big fan of the music, and the program was a little repetitive to me. There were some nice elements in there, but it didn't quite work for me. He gets some nice distance on his jumps even if he doesn't get lots of height.
Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN) - I don't even know what to say. That was beautiful. Ethereal. I love the character he portrays here. The Ina Bauer the hydro blade the layback spin. Johnny's pancake spin variation. Wow. Just wow. And good saves on those jumps. Lovely. God. The steps too! I'll be rewatching this many times. And the costume!!!! Dear lord have mercy. It shines. (I will choose to laugh about the fact that the spins caused him the most trouble lmao)
Chadwick (SGP) - a good skate. Couldn't be easy to skate after Yuzu. I really love the costume. He can at least revel in the fact that he had less spin problems than Yuzu lmao.
Samuel Mcallister (IRL) - playful short program. I feel like the music cuts could have been better, as it got slightly boring by the end, but the choreography was quite fun.
Conor Stakelum (IRL) - well, some nice spirals are always appreciated. Not the best Clair de lune I've seen, but it was pretty good regardless.
JUN IS GOING TO THE FINAL
Finally some good news
