got the random urge to look at my jurassic universe au and began thinking about the distortus rex

this isn't canon to my au, but i made it as if it were

this wretched thing has so many health issues like limbs and organs from an adsorbed twin, random nonsense from frog and chicken, asymmetrical, relatively brittle bones that are always on the verge of breakage, and a malformed digestive system that causes gaseous bloating <3

this thing lives in constant pain and suffering

📜 ACT 1: survivors-and-predators

📍 Location: Aetheris Island – Abandoned Kingdom Blacksite

The team — Stratus, Breach, and Chamber — is sent to investigate strange radianite signatures at a sealed Kingdom facility.

What they find instead is a thriving ecosystem full of natural dinosaurs. No radianite enhancements. Just science and time.

Herds of grazing herbivores

Packs of non-mutated raptors

And one apex predator lurking: T-Rex Prime

🌌 Nightfall. Jungle clearing. Thunder rumbles. A shape moves between trees.

[Chamber] draws his pistol "This place keeps getting worse."

[Stratus] low, steady voice "Don’t shoot unless it charges."

[Breach] "Bro. It’s a T-Rex. It’s always charging."

🦖 The T-Rex steps out. Roars loudly in victory. Then turns... and walks away.

[Stratus] "...That wasn’t hunger. That was a warning."

📜 ACT 2: project-echo-reawakens

📍 Location: Inner Jungle – Echo Labs Ruins

The team discovers the remnants of Project Echo. Radianite spikes are causing power surges through ancient research pods. Something's waking up.

Out of the ruins come mutated hybrids:

Raptors with teleportation bursts mimicking Omen

A Quetzalcoatlus emitting sonar shrieks

Half-dead creatures twitching with unstable energy

[Breach] blasting one with seismic waves "These ain’t dinos. These are bugs from hell."

[Chamber] reloading calmly "I am not paid enough for this."

📛 The Antagonist: OBLIVISAUR

Created as Echo’s final experiment, Oblivisaur is:

T-Rex strength

Raptor speed

Octopus neural capacity

Infused with human DNA

Evolved through radiant energy

It does not kill like an animal. It hunts like a person.

Can cloak fully

Mimics voices with terrifying accuracy

Adapts mid-battle

Grows stronger with each radiant source it absorbs

[Stratus] "It whispered to me. In Omen’s voice."

📜 ACT 3: the-enemy-of-my-enemy

The team is overwhelmed. Echo mutants are closing in. They take shelter in a ravine near a fallen Triceratops calf.

🦖 Suddenly, the T-Rex Prime charges in and crushes a pursuing Echo hybrid

[Stratus] "She’s fighting them. She’s not with them."

[Chamber] "You want to team up with a T-Rex? Next you’ll want pet raptors."

[Breach] "...Could be worse."

They realize the only way to stop Oblivisaur is to lead it and the swarm into the T-Rex’s territory.

📜 ACT 4: the-rift-battle

📍 Location: Island Rift Crater

🌋 The radianite rift pulses. The ground trembles.

[Breach] planting quake charges "Flank suppression set."

[Chamber] taking position in ruins above "I’ll keep it busy. Aim for the weak spots."

[Stratus] mounted on a wounded ceratopsian "Draw it in. Follow my signal."

☣️ Oblivisaur appears, now larger and more terrifying. Four burning eyes. Shadow limbs. A high-pitched shriek knocks them to their knees.

🦖 T-Rex Prime slams into it. The two clash in a brutal, primal battle.

[Breach] "Stratus, now!"

[Stratus] leaps from above and jams a radiant overload spike into Oblivisaur’s spine "Let it burn."

💥 The spike detonates. Oblivisaur implodes, dragging parts of the cliff into the rift. The crater collapses.

The T-Rex Prime survives. Barely. It limps forward, lets out a deafening victory roar that echoes across the island, then eyes meet theirs one last time before disappearing into the trees.

[Stratus] "...Guess the old world’s still got some fight in it."

🎬 epilogue

Kingdom claims the island was never reactivated.

[Breach] cradling a baby dino that followed him "...I'm keeping this one. His name’s Crater."

[Chamber] displaying a polished T-Rex fang in a glass case "Souvenir. Nothing more."

[Stratus] standing alone on a cliffside "They never learn."

Jurassic Park 3 AU

This is my JP3 AU, I am a novice writer so be kind but constructive criticism is appreciated. <3

Chapter 1: Montana Dig Site

In the foothills of Montana, Dr. Alan Grant hunches over to examine a recently uncovered fossil, the hot midday Montana sun beating down on him. He lightly traces the femur bone of the creature, brushing away the burning sand surrounding the bone, noticing a fracture in it.

 “Billy,” Grant said. “ it was injured. It most likely died in a fight with another dinosaur, or it was left by its pack to die because of its wound. A fracture like this would make it unable to walk.”

Billy looked up from his clipboard and bent down to look for himself. Billy Brennen was a young fit man, standing about five and a half feet tall, with short hair. He took the back of his pencil to point out another break in the animal's vertebrae. 

“I think it could do less than walk, I don't think it could move.” Billy studied its ribs and noticed tiny marks on the ribs.

“It was alive when the scavengers got to it. But it couldn't move. I've seen these marks on other fossils, but these ones are smaller and more careful, meaning that the scavengers were wary of the situation.”

“And that's why we keep you here Billy,” Alan said with a laugh. He stood up with a grunt, with his age it was deserved, being a nearly 60-year-old man. “Vicious creatures,'' Alan said under his breath.

“Velociraptor?” billy asked

“You can debunk that it was eaten alive but you can't identify the creature with confidence? Kids these days.” Alan chuckled as he spoke. “You will get there one day. But at least you got it right, have confidence Billy." Alan began to walk away, still lecturing Billy about how he is smarter than he thinks. Billy wrote down all of the notes they made on his clipboard. Smiling at the fact that he got it right. He looked up to Alan, like the father that he never had growing up. Billy had graduated top of his class in paleontology from Harvard University. He was a smart man with a child-like love for these creatures, but it's not like everyone in the dig didn't have the same love for them. Billy is simply intrigued by these giant creatures because they were so different from modern animals, yet they weren't, they have so many similarities to modern birds and reptiles. It's amazing how life changes to its surroundings, life is truly one of the most powerful forces, because no matter what, it finds a way to keep living. He bent back down to continue to study the raptor, noting things like size, estimated age, and what fossils are missing from the animal.

Alan walked into his tent, setting down his tools, and brushed the dust off his hands. He sat in his desk chair and studied his fossil records. He looked at the newest discovery, the raptor. He compared it to the ones he encountered so long ago. He knew how dangerous they were, but they are so different from what they would have been in reality, Ingens monsters only looked like dinosaurs, though they were far too reptilian compared to recent discoveries. That is the issue with bringing back and trying to recreate extinct animals we have never seen, we can never truly know everything about them, so we can never truly have them back. “Damnit Hammond” he cursed. 

Alan leaned back in his chair and sipped the coffee on his desk. He checked his watch, seven fourteen pm. Alan began to stand up and head to his bed to lie down. Billy abruptly burst through the entrance of the tent, speaking frantically at Grant. Billy made swift gestures with his hands and ran out of the tent. Grant, still confused by what just happened, was only able to make out “we found something amazing” and to follow him. Grant stood with another grunt and began speed walking out of the door. As Grant exited the tent, the cool dusk air hit his face and he walked towards Billy, rushing him into the tent.

Grant stepped into the lab tent, looking around and seeing all the scanners, 3D printers, and other technology. 

“Dr. Grant! Look at this!'' Billy exclaimed with excitement. Alan walked towards him, getting closer to the machine Billy was standing at. 

“Alan, we discovered something amazing about velociraptors, look at the screen” he studied the monitor, it showed a velociraptor skull and neck bones, adding 3D modeled muscles, then suddenly it stopped to show a highlighted area of the throat, then continuing to finish the tissue and feathers. 

“What is it highlighting?” Grant asked.

“It's a syrinx, they could vocalize, Alan”

“Like birds?”

“Maybe better”

“Incredible…”

“This is something that could be in so many species, Raptors, Triceratops, Procompsognathus, maybe even the Tyrannosaurus”

“different species would most likely have different capabilities for producing sounds, meaning the development of communication could be based on intelligence”

“Raptors being incredibly smart would be able to communicate well, while triceratops would essentially be an oversized rhino”

“This is amazing Billy, this information will fund our dig for at least 3 more years.”

Alan patted Billy on the shoulder and smiled. As he walked back to his tent to turn in for the night, Billy took out his phone and dialed a number. After two rings, someone on the other side answered. 

“It's me,” Billy said gravely, “I got something I think you are going to like.”

anyway. jurassic park au phil time

It's peaceful, sometimes. not often, not enough to remember, or look forward to, but occasionally, miraculously, park closing hours lined up with the calm hours before they grew hungry, or bored, or annoyed. Phil appreciated these quiet moments, alone on his small, overturned van. He didn’t have to cling to life like a parasite, unable to survive by himself. He could simply watch the smaller dinosaurs grazing, occasionally tilting their heads and tensing as a herd in a way that made Phil's entire body seize up and start scanning the air, the horizon, the trees.

But, each time, the herds lumbered on with their grazing, content with their safety.

It was never safe in the park—Phil knew that after years of experience. Terrifying dinosaurs that could rip through thousand tons of concrete and steel roamed free, with no fences separating Phil from their jaws. Plants that looked like modern counterparts could kill within minutes, and Phil had no guide to speak of. For now, though, he could watch the sun set, the park's massive structures slowly turning off all of its lights, and smile. He would survive, as he had before.

A sharp static cut through the silence and Phil jumped, whipping around to find the source of the noise. He relaxed slightly when he remembered the radio he had found—some kid had probably thrown it at a dinosaur, and no one was willing to go into the enclosure—and dropped back onto the ground. He squeezed into the van's open window.

The radio was small, solar powered, and Phil had been overjoyed to find it. He had quickly learned that it wasn’t a two way radio, but that was ok! really! He didn’t need to call anyone, promise the park officials that yes, he was still alive, after all those years and being abandoned and forgotten and turned into an urban legend by the park goers, it was fine! Really, it was.

Phil appreciated the radio, regardless of its uselessness in contacting people. It allowed him to listen to real people, even if they only updated an unseen ride about where the dinosaurs were, or gave warning to storms.

The current message was just an update on times, employees confirming that everyone had left and everything was locked. 7:30, one of them had said, and Phil wrote it in his notebook, and then onto the ground by his sundial.

Looking around carefully, Phil maneuvered himself out of the van and back into the open space. It was time to eat.

Anyway Jason, some how not dead

Becomes just as jaded and bitter as Bruce was if not more so He is very injured and only has the tattered remains of the old labs to tend to himself with He manages to avoid most dinosaurs by learning their habits and moving with themHe probably befriends a dinosaur,, like Owen and his raptors,, but it's just like a very small sauropod,,, it is his Best friend because he has been trapped on this danger island all alone and he is only a boy. Anyway one day while dinoboy Jason Todd is lurking around the old labs a group of very nicely dressed men bust in and start carting stuff off

He is very curious

It is a new company owned by a man named Ra's Al Ghul, Ra's appreciated the dinosaur island idea and wants to recreate it only bigger and better. He won't make the same mistakes that idiot Wayne did (and Jason has to be restrained from biting his nose off) but eventually Jason and Ra's come to an agreement , Jason will help Ra's decipher all of this information and use the dinosaur cloning equipment but Jason gets to be in charge of the science hands down Ra's agrees with the addition of Jason coming back with him and taking a shower and Jason could almost hug him (almost) Jason works very closely with Ra's daughter Talia (who is constantly mothering him and it's the worst but also secretly not the worst) to repair and optimize the equipment while designing the layout and technology of the dinosaur enclosures,, this takes several years but considerably less years than Ra's anticipated thanks to Jason who has prior experience behind the scenes of dinosaur parks

MEANWHILEBruce and Dick are attempting to help the world in ways that have absolutely nothing to do with dinosaurs

Wayne industries here probably aligns more with the actual Wayne industries just helping with everything. And Bruce is almost happy (almost) he has a new assistant that's a genius and is practically running the company himself, his name is Tim he's great. Dick loves him and so does Bruce (deep down inside) but his nice curious side also reminds Bruce of Jason so it's shrug emoji town

But once Bruce starts to slowly try to put his terrible dinosaur past behind him Ra's starts advertising his park and Bruce just pales instantly

He is rich so of course he flies out there with his boys(dick does not want to be there but Tim is curious ™)Ra's meets them at the docks

He tells them he was expecting them

They're lead into the park and Ra's shows off all the state of the art containment areas for all their different types of dinosaurs. Bruce and Dick keep trying to tell Ra's that no matter what he does the dinosaurs will escape Tim keeps asking questions about the technology and the concepts and Ra's is honestly only replying to Tim. They finally reach the labs and Bruce is like ok ignoring the fact that you somehow stole my parents research what makes you so sure you know more about these dinosaurs than I do

And Ra's has the most ridiculous smile like hes been waiting the whole tour for this ONE questions he turns dramatically and he's like

"because i have the number one dinosaur behavior consultant in the world, unfortunately you didn't have the fortune of having someone who's lived among wild dinosaurs for years but thanks to you, /I/ did. Isn't that right, Jason?" And everyone turns towards the doorway at the exact same time with very different expressions directed at the much older Jason Todd with the dash of white at the top of his head

Bruce and Dick just turn white like all of the life has been sucked out of them Ra's looks smug like we all knew he would and Tim is honestly staring at the mini dinosaur hovering behind the man

Anyway long story short Bruce and Jason have an argument (wow plot twist), dick has a soft moment with Jason's pet dinosaur and also Jason because damn that's his lil brother, Bruce is a mess of emotions and he meets Talia and they have an awkward sex scene that sets everyone up for the next movie, the dinosaurs do break out, Jason's dinosaur sacrifices themself to save Jason

They all escape the island, they agree never to speak of it again, but Tim recorded a bunch of data that he plans on archiving

They get back to Gotham and Dick kind of wants them all to be a good family again but Jason is bitter about his friend and he has mixed feelings about seeing his family again and there's probably a little bit of relief that he didn't get left behind again but he has to sort through these emotions so he leaves without them
