i dont know if it needs to b said but whitewashing is more than just making a character of color’s skin drastically lighter. its the changing ethnic features like wide/big noses,big lips,mono lidded eyes,etc. to look more eurocentric. like when artists draw realistic anime characters but realistic just means white to them.

Just thinkin bout how Hollywood AD was the first time they held hands just because they wanted to. No one was dying or in distress or needed comfort or to come out of a coma. I like when ppl delve into his character and analyze his relation to religion bc while his weapons bear the cross he isn’t exactly a morally sound character. I’d like to think that when they travel he might stop in at the local churchs if no one is around and play something on the organ even if he doesn’t necessarily practice Christianity maybe it brings him back to his childhood being in church on Sundays with family or something.
