Did I tell you guys the headcanon I had about Eve Baird having angelic blood in her? (Inspired by this pic from Gary Camp) She didn't know it either until it was revealed to her... somehow. Maybe Charlene whispered it into her ear, idk. That's why she's different from the other Guardians. That's why she's special. Because she has angelic blood. The Guardian Angel. Basically, she's the descendant of the angel Sariel. Angel of guidance, angel of death. Sometimes also known as Azrael. Instead of the hereafter, she helps them transition into their new life as Librarians and offer them guidance and protection. So what if Sariel knew Judson. They fought together in the battle of good vs evil to keep evil at bay. The Scholar and the Angel. And Sariel was the one who made Charlene become the first ever official Guardian. Because at first he was Judson's partner to keep the balance of good vs evil but he realised just how capable she was as well. This fiesty woman who would match him at his wits, and yet, so in love with Judson. Needless to say, he was IMPRESSED. And because Sariel fell in love with a human woman and had a child with her, he was called back to the heavens. So he entrusted the job to Charlene, making her immortality linked to the balance of good, with her permission of course. He asked them to take care of his loves, and they did, without mentioning to her what he was, and why he was gone. But she guessed anyway. But of course, nature takes its place and Sariel's child had a family, and they each had their families, but they all unknowingly had angelic blood in them. And one day, one of them walks into the Library and Charlene immediately KNEW. "Oh she's perfect!" And that, of course, was Eve Baird.
