Can we stop picking like certain disabilities to be like this thing we bring up as the standard "lesser" thing or whatever like
Physical disabilities are serious don't treat them like mental disabilities WELL ACTUALLY some mental disabilities ARE serious it's not just all like autism WELL ACTUALLY autism can be serious it's not all low support needs autism WELL ACTUALLY all autism is serious it's not like ADHD WELL ACTUALLY ADHD is serious it's not like anxiety and depression WELL ACTUALLY
It's this endless pointless cycle and it's hell and you can literally just talk about your specific struggles without putting down anyone else's. It's pretty easy actually.
Do you think since Johnny Storm was pretty famous and the Internet didn't exist yet (I assume? But retro futurism?), that he'd use a disguise and an alias when picking up porn from the adult store?
So his preferences wouldn't get leaked like, "Fantastic Four's Johnny Storm likes busty Latinas" or "[...] bareback anal creampies"?
Hey, what are loops and retrogressions in ice dance, please? I tried googling but to no avail. Thanks
So, there’s four different styles of step sequences. (Excuse my serpentine diagram lol - basically end to end with two fairly equal lobes curved into the ice to get there, or three lobes which I didn’t attempt to draw).
As a general rule, a step sequence starts in one spot (A), and goes in a continuous direction towards the ending spot (B).
But sometimes the skaters are allowed to add a little deviation in getting from A to B, giving the step sequence some creativity and a little more time to complete any required steps/turns.
A retrogression is when the skaters, starting at A and heading towards B, re-trace the same path towards A, and then back again towards B to finish.
In Virtue/Moir’s Assassination Tango, their diagonal step sequence starts at about 2:00 in this video, and then do a retrogression at about 2:15, and then finish their step sequence at about 2:30.
A loop is when the skater creates a circle, going outside skated path, before heading towards B again.
In Latch, their diagonal step sequence starts at about 4:24. Their loop starts at about 4:35, and they finish their step sequence at about 4:55.
While it’s difficult to find old versions of ISU handbooks to see when retrogressions and/or loops were allowed in which seasons, or when there was something in between like this notation from the 2019/2020 season (which also includes the definition of each step sequence type):
Loops are not permitted, however, a narrow loop is an acceptable shape in the retrogression.
Without seeing a ‘birdseye view’ or knowing the rules of 2016/2017 specifically, I don’t know for sure if the Latch loop is ‘narrow’ and really just a retrogression, but hopefully it gives you an idea. If you look at the logo on the ice, you can see where they are skating on the ice and how it curves out around the basic path from corner to corner of the diagonal.
Hope that helped!
Everyone has a right to their own opinion refers to things like
“I prefer cats over dogs” or “Green is an awful colour”
Not “ hitler was in the right” or “all black people are criminals”
When you rewatch shows you've already seen and know how relationships happen and can tell when a character is LYING out their ass on something 😂
reblog this if u have a skin condition like ezcema or rosacea
