they blinked hard, a nasty migraine was brewing. they knew it would cost them their evening. the pressure squeezed their brain and a dull ache pushed behind their eyes. the nausea rose and beads of sweat broke out on their clammy forehead...

Somewhere, You Were Mine
It was November night when they met for the first time after 14 years after the fall of Voldemort, they both instantly noticed the other. Platinum blonde hair, dark silver eyes; an almost tame wild hair, caramel hues.
They both had said the other’s last name, Hermione was shocked, she was married but he still calls her by maiden name. Old habits die hard, he said after a shrug of his shoulders.
They both asked on what they were doing in Muggle London in the middle of the night. Hermione had answered that she needed a break from all of the paperwork filling in her office, Draco had laughed at her demise.
I always thought that you were up for the challenge, Hermione Granger, Minister of Magic of England. That name again, her maiden name. Well it was somewhat nice to hear it again so she let it slip.
When she asked him of his reason, he simply replied with a needed time away from the world, she had a good chuckle from that one. Draco Malfoy had finally got fed up by the stares and decided to walk around in Muggle London?
As time passed, the two were still talking animately and had started to take their conversation elsewhere inside a well-known restaurant. They began talking about their jobs, colleagues, families, children, the war, Hogwarts and finally, their personal lives.
They continued their little reunion until dawn.
One could see that there was a fine lining of something unspoken, something that had always lingered in the underlying pit of years of prejudice. It was warm. It was light, skittish and soft. It swarmed and covered the air.
The people inside the restaurant all quieted down and observed the two, they saw something... yes, there was certainly something there. Something deep, forgotten, buried-- it was beautifully sad.
As the sun rose and decorated the sky with vibrant colours, two different people had connected in just one night. They both left with a light heart and a smile adorned in their faces, as they left the people staring at wondering.
Because, somewhere, no matter how far-fetched or unrealistic it was... they both knew that in another life, they were theirs.
Just something ive had for a while
