Soo i was just chilling in youtube and out of nowhere I remembered this fantastic mv and the song and the amount of effort of the fucking editor my god this is a work of art and a lot of kpop fans are sleeping on it. Focus On Me may be my favorite got7 song so far. I’m such a sucker for jaebeom’s personal music vibe and you can clearly see jaebeom’s style in the undertones of the song,and mixed with yugyeom’s trap sexy vibe is just such a good combination. Like the type of song you listen to at 3:00am when you can’t sleep because it doesn’t have a heavy tempo different from lullaby or hard carry or the typa song you’d like your radio station to suggest when your driving late at night with your windows rolled down. The boys did such a good job,you can see they were involved in every little thing,from the choreography to the outfits they were wearing and the music video visuals are amazing,the minimalistic yet powerful idea worked so well with yugyeom and jaebeom’s style. That part of the music video where they’re both walking and dancing in a runway (around 1:18) with a bunch of people watching them really threw me off because it’s clearly a representation of them in the media,having to take the spotlight at such a young age. Focus On Me marks a new era for got7 and I’m honestly so excited for what they have in store for us.
