And exclusively getting ten billion of word for word the same article that says "early intervention therapy for autistic children is your only hope to make them shut the fuck up and go away, god if any parents are reading this when the kid is already hitting puberty y'all are fucked you missed your chance the kid is already ruined fuck you try sedatives"

You wouldn't know from this pic that 5 minutes earlier I had been walking around the house crying and hitting my head because I made someone mad unintentionally. Making people upset is my worst fear so when it happens I get so irrationally upset with myself. some of you were never the kid who was never picked to be in any groups or teams in gym/class so you were left with the other loner/weird/developmentally disabled kid nobody wanted to be with and it shows

I told my teacher

Today, I told my teacher that I am autistic. Being in college, it's not required that they know. I went the last 2 months trying very hard to hide it, as I'm in a course all about autism (SETA). Today, while talking to my teacher, it just slipped out. It scared me at first, but she didnt make a big deal of it. She just nodded and kept going with the conversation. There was no "oh you're autistic let's get into an hour long conversation about your life and struggles and such." It was so simple.

It was a big step for me, but I feel so much closer to her now. Her son has sensory processing disorder, so she understands how I'm feeling being in college now. She is such a sweet woman, and I have so much trust in her now.

Today was a good day. I'm proud of myself.
